It only makes sense that if Cotto beats Gomez and the winner of Cintron v Margo and does so in convincing fashion. While PBF outspars DLH.The stage is then set for Cotto V PBF and Mayorga would be pushed aside to include any mandos. There is more money in PBF V Cotto than than any Mayorga fight.
I know but the point is people act like Mayweather who requested his time off, which he is getting, should cut it short now to pursue a fight with Cotto. And Im just pointing out Cotto isn't going to be available most likely until next year. (When they are both available)
the OP clearly says that the WW title holders want to unify but PBF is holding them up which isnt true..Cintron showed he had no intention of unifying when he pulled out the PW fight..Quintana was asked about a cotto rematch and he didnt look like he wanted it.. all the other fighters you named are irrelevant because they are not title holders and thats not what the thread is about DONT TRY TO BLAME A UNIFICATION SERIES NOT HAPPENING ON PBF
It is not Cotto style to call someone out...it is PBF style to call someone out, or say he is retiring...or make more money with ODLH.....the point is that in similar fashion he made the fight with Hatton (a 140lbs coming up to 147 who was lick by Collazo at 147) ...so I beleive it is to PBF to make the fight not Cotto, the burden is on PBF not Cotto....Cotto doesn;t mouth off after a fight or so, he is very quite and polite...but if PBF wants to rumble...the money will be right, I assure of that...and Arun can't say no to money....that's the way I see it... So my word to the PBF camp sis: MAKE THE ****ING FIGHT...
Bull ****ing ****! Cotto doesn't talk so it's not his obligation to make the fight but PBF's??? :rofl :rofl atsch PBF is already the man at 147 he has nothing else to prove.:deal It's up to Cotto to fight PBF and knock him off the mountain not the other way around.:deal
Unfortunately, he is NOT the first with this type of behavior. Guys like Oscar De La Hoya are responsible for this type of behavior, spreading it like an African plague, making it seem acceptable that all their decisions in are solely based on money. The you have a fighter like Floyd who looks at himself and thinks "I'm one of the best and beat De La Hoya so what stops me from making that same type of money"... Instead of worrying about his own legacy and doing what he needs to do and prove to the world he is the best in the WW division. However, this in itself is subjective because Floyd may feel he has nothing else to prove and at this point of his career, the only thing that motivates him is money, which seems to be the case. Either way, its the new trend in boxing, the excuse of why matches aren't made... The good news is we still got guys like Taylor and Pavlik who want to want to make a case for themselves and bring us good fights.
So just because it's not his style to call someone out it's okay? Floyd does call people out. When he's not the champion, so its perfectly fine for Floyd (The Champion just in case you didn't know) not to call anyone in his weight class out.
LOL THIS GUYS INCREDIBLY STUPID!!! its his job to make a fight, even though its a 2 person fight the burden only falls on one mans shoulders? stfu noob
PBF doesnt have to put up ****. He's the man --- undefeated pound for pound. The rest of the welters have to show they are worthy. Like fight it out amoung each other.
Seriously some people are ignorant.. sees whatever they want to see.. If Cotto and Arum wanted that fight, they would have said something and NOT said that they wanted DLH - Logic! If Mayweather wanted the fight, he would've said something and NOT retired and then scheduled a fight with DLH - Logic! This equals = Neither wants to fight each other at this point.. Another thing: Whats wrong with boxing for money? Why do all of you go to work?
PBF doesn't care about unifying, he has never in his career fought for a WBA or WBO title, anly once for the IBF which was against Zab which he vacted to go for the WBC.
