Merchant is the necessary evil. He's rude with unprofessional levels of hate, but he is always willing to AZZk the tough questions.
He was terrible last saturday but more often then not he is the best color commentator on HBO. Overall Bernstien and Tarver are better though.
I love Merchant, even when I disagree and think he's being an old *****. These Floyd fanboys just take EVERYTHING about Floyd on a personal level. ****in fanatics...
I like Merchant but admit as he gets older his delivery has slowed a lot and he does have some dumb moments like when he said Crunk
It has more to do with it than just PBF.:deal He disrespects boxers all the time. RJJ, Hopkins, Martinez I could go on and on. He's a POS who never laced up a pair of gloves in his life. **** him and his fans.
Remember him for what he was, not what he is now. Marlon : "They counted me out? Was I out?" Merchant : "They did count you out." Marlon : "WHEN!?! He didn't hit me!!" (Looks at Merchant bewildered) Merchant : "Marlon, he did hit you, and if you don't remember it, that's proof that he hit you.: Marlon : ".. and they stopped the fight?!" Merchant ".. and they stopped the fight because they ruled that you were knocked out." Marlon : "Do I look knocked out? Do I look knocked out right now?" Merchant : "Well you only have to be knocked out for ten seconds" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Xz5Pbp9wwVk#t=343s
Well, congrats. With your 11 amatuer fights, that gives you ALL the right to act like you know more then he does, despite Merch being immersed INTO The sport longer then you've been alive. He often asks tough questions rather then the softball ones you seem to prefer. This is a tough sport, if you can't handle fighters getting roughed up by an old man and a mic, turn the ****in channel after the fight ends.
No, he did not. Floyd was just ready to pounce and go nuts on him at the very first opening that came up.
