So you're saying Wladimir should copy the Mayweather model and have less than 0.5% of the population watch his fights so that he will be more recognizable to casual fans (and non fans) and they will have a clue who he is.... righto.

Who cares about Mayweather you gimp, he isn't even a household name himself.

Pacquiao is recognisable to fans and non fans

    So is De La Hoya

Pacquiao Marquez did (apparently) 1.5m US views

If that took place in Germany, or dubai, or australia, nothing would have changed

Wlad could fight whoeever he wants outside of Germany on PPV and we both know it would not sell well, the global boxing community (and many of the countries that have been and still are the biggest players in boxing - The US, the UK, Mexico)

have very little interest in him

They may watch his fights, but buy them? Hell no

Er,no. If we're going back as far as Haye v Valuev you can stick a certain Ricky Hatton in there against Manny Pac, you may remember it ? Froch vs Ward was bigger than Chisora, easily ,Haye v Klit i'll give you.

So 2 of the 3 biggest fights in that time-frame were held in the US :good

I've got nothing against Germany but the future of boxing it aint. At least, i hope not.

Those fights were obviously very big because of the British fighters, their controversy and their fanbase

They actually helped to sell the fight

And once again, they were all HW fights

So what if Pacquiao Marquez did (apparently) 1.5m US views. That's only 1.5m out of a total of 311,591,917m, that's utterly ****.

Fury vs Chisora pulled in far more viewers than Froch vs Ward and that was while being on channel 5 where most people can only pick it up by sticking a coat hanger into the back of their tv. Which once again proves how much more important the HW's are compared to the midget sideshow weight classes.

What a load of crap. Everyone has channel 5.
So you're saying a percieved no-hoper coming off 2 losses vs a 40 year old was bigger than the final of the super 6 ?:patsch
