What's with all the hype of Martinez

    Everybody saying Floyd and pacman should fight him...
    First of all Martinez is not an elite fighter. He lost to margo, williams and a draw with cintron. And technically i don't see an elite fighter.
    and second hes a dam middleweight floyd and pac already went up so many weight classes. The only reason they would lose is the weight diff.
    Martinez is a great fighter but he's starting to get a little overrated.
    IMO!!!!

    He didnt draw with Cintron (go watch the fight) and he took the Paul Williams fight on short notice and put up a hella performance first time and we all saw what he did second trime LOL. He DID lose to Margo but so what? Pacquiao got 3 losses doesn't make him any less elite.

    Plus he is knocking everyone he faces out so damn if that isn't enough reason to hype him up what is?

    Because he probably has the best chance to beat Floyd, so all the Pac nuthuggers have now jumped the bandwagon.

    So now a loss makes you not an elite? Pac lost to Morales, Singsurat and Torrecampo he is not an elite :hey

    The Margo fight was like 10+ years ago. Williams first fight could of gone either way. And Cintron.....:rofl the draw was a robbery it should of been a KO.

    Did you ever actually watch him fight? Mentioning the draw with Cintron or the loss to Williams is pointless. He clearly beat Cintron and most think he got robbed against Williams. I never saw the Margo fight but it was years ago, at 147, so it's hard to hold that against him now. Especially when he started boxing at a later age.

    Maybe not an all time great, but I'd say he is elite.

    The main thing is I'm not going by his losses or draws I'm strictly going by how he fights and I honestly can't see the eliteness of Martinez. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a shot for pound for pound but the onlyreason he would win against may or PAC would be weight difference

    That phrase gets thrown around way too much. You can't judge my knowledge of boxing from saying Martinez isn't an elite fighter.... This thread looks like i got people angry :patsch Just an opinion dam... This is why I hardly post in forums even though I been here since 2007. I can't say anything controversial.
