Was Haye a legit HW or just a blown up CW?

I am no expert on Hayes career, but were he not always a counter puncher? His style worked just fine on normal sized HW's like Mormeck and Ruiz. I think the problem might have been he ended up in the ring with one of those mutant Klitschko brothers, the one who knows how to box.

No big disagreement here. But Haye would walk through Adamek like he was not there. Povetkin could maybe give him a fight. I know too little about Cunningham to comment on that.

Dude you do know haye moved to heavyweight early 08? Adamek had 2fights at cruiser by this stage and were against **** poor opposition. I'm not so sure about Cunningham but he had recently lost to some polish dude although beat him in a rematch (I think) both sound like pretty unappealing fights to me

If Wlad was 6 ft 3 and 220 pounds, Haye would knock him out.

    Legit Hwt

his body looked like a guy strugglin to make weight at cruiser

at heavy he put the weight on right and looked good

as far as being able to go toe to toe or be physical inside who knows but that was never his game any way

Well I'm sorry our opinions don't see eye to eye, but it just seems ridiculous to say that Haye should be just as worried about his chin as wlad when their credentials are completely different.

Legit Heavyweight, for sure. He disposed of the, then, WBA king, Valuev, and scored a TKO against Ruiz.

Thats not completely true, Admake beat Bell just after Haye beat Maca,
and Cunnigham was a rightful IBF belt owner and #2 Ring ... and more
over he called out Haye to unify belts while Haye said I'm moving out.

Not a big blame on Haye but the fact is a fact ... he never cleaned
out CW division which is exactly the same as his run at HW.

Retiring SNV and Ruiz was something we should be thankful to David.

I guess your right about Cunningham as he did just beat huck. But Bell had recentky been beat by mormeck and it wasn't even for a cruiserweight title when he fought adamek. I think haye made it clear after the mac a fight that he was moving to heavy anyway.

Yeah in your mind ... the problem is that you can dream all about of
that because thankfully to Haye these fights will never ever happen
and that is the biggest problem with David.

I'd still like to see Valuev against Wlad just for a laugh.
