Vid review of Hearns KO punch against Duran

Great video. Hearns is one of my all time favourites. I just wished he had a chin like granite and he'd be the top of the list. Still, he did more than well with the skills he had. You don't like Hearns? You don't like boxing

 

That phrase is inaccurate most of the time it is used, but in this case, it's likely true. This truly was one of the greatest punches of all time. I remember it like it was yesterday.

no fighter has everything tops. That is what makes boxing great. Can a fighter get to the other fighters weakness. With Hearns it was always a matter of can the other fighter take Hearns punch to land his own. It was tough .

 

I'm with Zak on this. I detest the use of the phrase, "that punch woulda KOed anybody", but there are a handful that just might have. Marciano/Walcott and Robinson/Fullmer are two more.

 

I noticed this as well.. he was wide open!

I gave this some thought and I stand corrected on this statement because the right hand was a continuation of the body shot, making it a combo and not a one punch knock out as originally stated by me.:bbb

And for those who say that slowing down a video captured by old cameras always looks blurry :

Its easier to see in the original footy.
If you are slowing it down extract the frames and rebuild.
