HOW have you given Vitali more heart than Wlad :think

Wlad does NOT have a 9 killer instinct either

If Wlad have killer instinct 9 no way Haye would hear final bell, Chmabers would be KOd inside 5 rounds and with his power very few of bums he fought would go past 5th if he had 9 killer instinct!!

    Vitaly Klitschko

Power 7 - (he has not knocked out or properly stopped any prime legitimate hw contenders through actual power)

Physical attributes 10 - doesn't need explaining, 6'8, 80'' reach and always in magnificent shape

Hand speed 6 - not particularly fast

Footwork - 6 - quite awkard and clumsy footwork

Defense - very difficult to judge..vs Thomas Adamek, 9. Vs Lennox Lewis...5, I'll go with 7. He is a good counterpuncher, but is still very hittable

Durability - 6 - good chin and can take a punch, but quit against Byrd

    Heart - 5 - quit against byrd

Killer instinct - 9 - may not always completely knock out but steps on the gas and punishes opponents

Endurance - seems to have stamina problems when pushed - 6

Ring generalship 7 - despite his awkward footwork seems to make very good use of the ring

    Wlad Klitschko

    Power - 8.5

    Physical attributes - 10

    Hand speed 8

    Footwork 8

    Defense 8

Durability 7 (very good at recovering from kd's, but hasnt demonstrated a great chin)

Heart 8 (the above, has dragged his azz off the canvas numerous times to win)

Killer instinct 1 - he plays it safe even when there is no real possibility of being hurt, havent ever really seen prime Wlad step on the gas and get someone out of there

Endurance 7 - still has good power in the late rounds but tends to tire if fighting at a higher intensity

    Ring generalship 9

    Total points 75.5

People are letting Vitali's injury stoppage vs. Byrd affect their valuation of his "heart" too much. It was a serious injury, it was more than a decade ago - it's only happened once (it wasn't him who wanted to stop vs Lewis). Give him the benefit of the doubt.

Anyone who gives Vitali a 8 or less on defense knows **** about boxing.

Why benefit of the doubt? This isn't a trial he is going to be hanged for, it just on how we individually rate his heart

He had a very painful injury and chose to quit, this one of only two incidents of real adversity he had, the other one ending in a stoppage to Lewis (which the ref stopped)

How else are we supposed to judge how his heart is, we can't ignore the time he was in real pain and struggling and chose to quit

Danny Williams on the other hand had a badly dislocated shoulder against Mark potter, it only happened once....I'm not going to ignore that happening if I was asked to rate him

Arturo Gatti has taken beating after beating and soldiered on

    Smokin Joe...

    etc

    etc

His defensive skills are about a 7

His primary method of defence being his size, would make that about a 9

But I'm rating on skill, so it's 7.

When he put said skills to use against an almost equally sized opponent who he couldn't just lean back from punches or bully in Lennox Lewis, look at what happened to his face, his defence clearly can't be as good as you think

I give Floyd about a 9 or 10 for defence

Put him in with DLH, he doesnt get hit a lot

Put him in with Marques he doesn't get hit a lot

Put him in with Corrales, he doesn't get hit a lot

Nobody is able to consistently touch him regardless of size

He has the reflexes, skills, ring generalship and defensive awareness to not get hit, Vitali being much bigger than every opponent he has ever faced...hasn't had to use these skills and simply doesn't have them to such a degree

Floyds skills are a leveller for size

whereas Vitalis size is a leveller for skills

    It's the truth

I think both Wlad and Vitali should have AT LEAST an 8 in all those departments.

When Wlad has a guy hurt he puts him away pretty decisively. He's a better finisher than his brother, which I associate as "killer instinct". Jmo.

You're kidding, right? His only defensive skill is clinching. He doesn't slip punches, bob and weave, doesn't parry and doesn't block punches. Why exactly should his defensive skills be seen as "very good"? His defense is one dimensional that is reliant on his physical attributes.
