Pavlik gets stronger as the fight goes on and Jermain would have to do some serious work to outbox him. It's very unlikely and I feel Jermain's only chance is to overwhelm Pavlik with fast combinations and ko him.

If he was at his best, and stayed very mentally and emotionally disciplined, I think Taylor's speed would enable him to outbox Pavlik, if he fought the smartest fight of his life. However, I don't think we'll see that, but instead a Taylor who wants redemption by knocking out the man who KO'd him.

    Taylor gets KO'd.

Another point at issue here is that the majority of people, even ardent Pavlik fans, misunderstand what pavlik does in the ring. His KO ratio is so high, and he is so good with the right hand that that is all people see. The truth is Kelly has above average punching power, but he is not a one punch type of slugger. I'm talking about the difference between pure punching power, and a fighters punching ability.

Here is an example of punching POWER:

    Here is punching ABILITY

There's a big difference, and that difference is the reason JT would be foolish to try to out box Pavlik for 12 long rounds.

  5. NO- Pavlik was outjabbing and outfighting Taylor in the first fight and got stronger as the fight wore on while Taylor was wearing down..
Pavlik is also physically stronger than JT and will have a HUGE Psychological advantage knowing he KO'D jt..
Taylor is doomed in this fight:deadPavlik's awesome power and strength., superior stamina and killer instinct will make it hell for JT..
    Pavlik will stop him late..

Jermain can definately outpoint Kelly as he has superior handspeed and
can hit hard enough to make Kelly respect him. He just needs to bob
and weave a bit more, move laterally and hold up his left hand more.
I think Taylor will box much more this Saturday and may survive Kelly's
powerful, accurate punches but it will be difficult to keep Kelly off
especially in the later rounds. This should be an awesome fight and
I will definately pay for it.

JT is too stupid to run. He's going to fight and that's what he shouldn't do but it's because he's too simple minded.

Are you guy CRAZY to say yes?!?! Every fight he's been in since Hopkins 1, Taylor has faded down the stretch. Even if he's up 7-1 going into the 8th, I would say it's even odds that Pavlik KOs him in the 12th. Pavlik is going to win again b/c sooner or later, his work rate will be too much for Taylor & it'll end in a TKO, if Taylor's lucky.

I think Jermain "Gift Decisions" Taylor gets KO'ed around the 9th or 10th rounds.
