Name me a single poster who has defended Wlad for as long as I have?

I don't dislike him. I spent years on ESB defending him and you can check my post history on that. If you think it's hating on someone to say Rocky Marciano would beat them, you're exposing your own bias.

Which man would weigh only 10 pound more than rocky? I'd like to know how that conclusion is reached.

    You've said that once already.

Yes so dempsey is proven against superheavyweights. That's another argument for another thread.

Rocky is completely unproven against guys of this size at this level. I don't see how you can pick him.

If wlad had struggled with small heavyweights (like vitali against byrd or bowe against holyfield) then I could see am argument. Considering rock's lack of success against legitimate heavyweights and wlad's lack of weakness against cruiserweights, it's just too much of a reach imo.

Wait...you're basing your whole argument on that? Well if Wlad faces..oh...I dunno...Tyson (coming out of retirement), Jones, Hopkins...Toney then you'd...have them pretty much tied?...thats nigh on mentally ******ed.

What are you people smoking Rocky would fell Wlad like a tree. Inside he would have pulverized Wlad's insides. He would be yelling NO MAS.
The Heavyweight fight game ended with Holyfield/Tyson. The glory is gone, bring back the John L's, Joe Louis, Jack Demsey and Ali. And always in the top spot "and still the only undefeated heavyweight of all times THE REAL ROCKY.
    WLAD IS TODAY'S PRIMO CANARA:patsch

So outside of America, boxing journalist and historians alike will be ranking Wlad ahead of Rocky when it's all said and done? That's sad and embarrassing, although untrue anyway.

Exactly. Fighters with pressure-oriented styles generally don't last. They have short primes, and often times blistering peaks. Tyson, Dempsey, Frazier, Marciano, etc. These guys can't have the pro-longed careers the way Lewis, Ali, and the Klitschko's can. In my estimate, that should be factored and put into consideration at the very least. Not an excuse, but an explanation of that reality.

The question is, though, can he duplicate the massive success Jean "better than Tyson in every way" Mormeck had against Wlad before Wlad fortunately took out the dangerous Mormeck?

I can see Wlad winning the EVT against Rocky in spectacular style

Sigh, Williard, Fulton, and Firpo don't remotely compare to the super-HWs... the Bowe, Lewis, and Klitschko types. Sure, it shows Dempsey had explosion that Marciano didn't that may allow him to take bigger fighters out quicker. But to beat bigger, quality fighters, merely because he took out bigger fighters is almost equally absurd, considering Marciano is a seemingly superior fighter (At least in my estimate).

Yes, I admit Dempsey's style is more favorable against Wlad then Rocky. But on the basis of beating 3 year inactive Williard and possibly the least skilled, crudest HW challanger in the HW history is just as much of a stretch.

Obviously I pick Wlad against Rocky. But depending on the era and referee, it's not in the realms of impossibility for Rocky to actually beat Wlad. This doesn't speak volumes just about Rocky's greatness, it actually speaks far more about Wlad's limitations and lack of versatility as a fighter.

Ignorance. Technically, more technical than Wlad's brother, Vitali.

    Wladimir Klitschko >>> Rocky Marciano

    Vitali Klitschko >>> Rocky Marciano

    Either Klitschko easily destroys Marciano.
