that was september 2008, i know because i was on the undercard, timothy bradley vs edner cherry replaced it as main event.
Damn 2008, I should remember the date, I spent money to go down there and see the fight and was so pissed I didn't even go.
campbell just look ed incredible beating juan diaz so i was pumped for the fight, guzman is incredible but as we have seen not that good at dieting!
yeah, he was pretty much done from the peterson fight. hes slow and sluggish now. campbell as old as he is was able to tag him easily. cayo was winning early boxing him. but campbell was able to withstand the pressure from cayo, and fired back more hurtful shots. it was pretty good war. but, campbells heart and never give up attitude won it at the end
Nate's a bad arse. He witnessed a purse snatcher take the bag of an old lady. He chased the mf'r down until he barricaded himself into an apartment. Finally, after the cops came he started trying to talk smack at Nate. before the cops showed though, he was hiding like a *****. Knew Nate would have roughed him up more than any police.
Fighters wax and wane sometimes, late in their careers. It's not necessarily good then shot and that's the end of that. No shame. Guzman did **** him over. I think he takes a fight between the two of them at this point, though.
It's funny, because before last night I'd have said that Guzman vs. Cayo would be potentially competitive (obviously favoring Guzman) while Guzman vs. Campbell had the looks of a blowout. :think That may still be true. (styles make fights...unless Cayo is really just kaput mentally...)
Wow! And to think I saw Cayo is a decent contender. Disappointing, Nate is shot, This win ain't getting him nothing more then a final payday IMO.
You/we weren't wrong. He was. Something must just be irreparably broken inside him, from that tragic period he went through a couple of years ago. His efforts have been inconsistent, all over the place of late. On the way up, before running in Maidana & that rough patch in his personal life, he was on an excellent run of form and did quite well for himself with such an awkward and unorthodox style.
oh fug yeah. campbell didnt look great at all same as cayo but, cayo looked slow and out of condition. nate just has more heart. he was getting tagged all nite, but, he has a never say die attitude
