Why does no one ever mention that Floyd is also out of his prime?

Because he did not lose his last fight :deal

 

Floyd's body is still about 29, His defense and the retirement are the cause of that, He is mentally prime as well.

 

Prime; The period in life when a person is best in health, strenght, etc: the most active or successful time of a persons life. Thats webster. Now Ill say this again, Floyd is in his prime. As much as people like to celebrate youth as prime, its not that simple. Hes bigger and stronger, Hes in the best of health of his life and hes just as active and more successful than hes ever been in his life. Oh yeah, hes prime and Ill bet a dime to a dollor that if he needed to move around the ring like he did five or six years ago, he could do it with no problem. His fight game has matured to the point where he dont have too, and why should he. Its not about going backwards.:bbb

 

I think it's mentioned in every PAC v Floyd soap opera / fight thread that both guys are past their absolute peak now. They're still very good, but not at their very best.

It's impossible to be as physically good at 35 as in your 20s. Regardless of punishment etc, it's just impossible. The body ages. Eyesight declines. Reflexes slow down. Yes it's slow, and in some guys it happens slowly - or in somebody like Floyd they can adjust their style - but nobody has yet been able to reverse aging no matter how good they are.

 

Who still even claims he's in his prime first of all dumbass? ****heads like you make floyd fans look bad.

First of all, if you aint reached 35 then you dont know.

 

b/c like B-hop, floyd is a master boxer. his skills alone will allow him to prolong his career, especially since he only fights once a year.

Most people prefer just to see the bad in Floyd and talk trash about him. Fact is the guy has been ruling the sport for years and is now 35, still performing and training at the top level.
