I think it's more the fact that we all despise Sauerland for the recent (and not so recent) robberies they've 'organized'.

Suggesting the little-known and light-hitting Pole might need to put in some "extra work" to beat a popular star in Germany on a Sauerland card is your idea of hatred?

I think Wilk will outbox him through the first half. Then AA will come back, Start landing his bombs, KO late.

I give Wilk a good shot at outworking AA and winning a decision. But that won't happen in Germany!

Gutnechkt-Murat should be made after this light, Voluntary defense of Gutnechkt's. ( assuming Murat doesn't beat Cloud since he's mandatory! ) Murat will show if Gutnechkt is as average of a fighter as he seems, No offense, He has light punching power, Decent boxing skills, Not much more. And this shouldn't be hard to make for two reasons, 1. Both very known and loved in Germany, Could sell well as headliner or card co-feature and 2. they are both under Sauerland, the best German matchmakers.

Yeah Gutnechkt has the skills to outbox Averlant, UD or late TKO clearly.

Dirks and Masternak are good prospects, They will pass these tests IMO with flying colors.

Weber will have another tough fight, Loosing this will make him seem like a journeyman, Winning makes him take a huge step up in ranks. Depends.

    Pretty good card.

    ^:deal

Bellew could very well become the mandatory for Gutknecht if he beats McIntosh though. If not, then Murat (If he loses to Cloud, as I think he will)

    Brahmer is the third option.

The WBO will officially announce tomorrow that the winner of this fight will face the winner of Stieglitz vs. Groves next.

No wonder, Sauerland are moving Kessler up to LHW.

Nobody is talking like Wilk is elite. He isn't. He's simply a good, solid Euro-level/fringe world level super middleweight.

Abraham isn't an elite super middleweight, though.

He was fighting on even or worse terms with Bozic before what should have been ruled a No Contest when Bozic injured himself.

He didn't just lose but was comprehensively outboxed by Froch and barely won a round.

He didn't just lose but was comprehensively outboxed by Ward and barely won a round.

He didn't just lose but was comprehensively outboxed by Dirrell and barely won a round before stupidly disqualifying himself after a brief moment of success.

His only good showings at 168 were against a ragged Taylor fighting above peak weight who'd been KTFO only a few months before (and was coming off 41 straight rounds boxed against big, strong punchers) - and Pablo "Pokemon" Farias. Pablo Poke-a-who? Yeah, exactly. Not to mention, the tiny Pokemon who looked two weight classes smaller actually won 2-3 of the first four rounds on many people's cards before getting stopped.

Wilczewski is shorter than Ward, Froch or Dirrell, so he won't have any significant reach advantage. He is not a big puncher and not too fast.
It should be just a matter of time before Abraham knocks him out.

Abe pwns that clown anyway. Wilk is a bum with a padded record, nowhere near Taylor, Miranda, Jantuah, Eastman, Ikeke etc type guys when Abe fought them. also Wilk only fought welter- to middleweight journeymen, the only half sized 168lb opponent he has fought was that wimp Degale whos so weak i'd bet he loses to some 160-168lbs female boxers in arm wrestling. also Abe was competitive early on against Ward and put Dirrell down twice

it only can ruled a NC if someone gets injured because of an accidental foul. if someone injures himself and quits, its a tko loss anywhere in the world unless maybe on Hopkins-island

    That is a ******ed rule.

Nikolai Valuev shouldn't have a win over Monte Barrett.

If the opponent injures himself, YOU did not earn victory.

It's the EXACT type of situation that is line with the spirit of a "No Contest", in the truest literal sense of the phrase. There was literally no contest, because the two competitors were not able to compete.

If someone injures himself on the way to the ring before the opening bell, then there is no official result listed on either man's win/loss record. It should be no different if they get through the ring walks/anthems/opening bell and then all of a sudden in the opening 5 seconds one boxer has seizure with convulsing spasms and can't fight. That shouldn't be a TKO1 for the other guy. It should be the same as if they didn't even fight.

For self-injuries before 3 rounds are completed (or whatever the cutoff is per the individual commission's jurisdiction for injuries from accidental fouls) it should be a No Contest. For self-injuries after that cutoff, it should go to the cards for a technical decision same as with injuries from accidental fouls.
