Ok you have a fighter who is average in speed, strength, power, chin, etc which fighters from history would you have your fighter learn from that was the best technically.

So for example Roys jones Jnr style was heavy on speed, and power rather than techincal merit.

    Same for Naseem hamed.

Alexis Arguello, whilst he had awesome power, he wasn't reliant on it. He was a phenomenal boxer, is that the kind of answer you're looking for?

Yeah, who would be the top guys you would pick that had great boxing skills that you would teach this fighter who was average physically.

For example it would be no good to teach someone Naz hands down, bending at the waist style as it requires, speed, and huge amounts of agility.

In the last 10 years Iv been watching boxing, marquez is the obvious fighter id look to for perfect technique in terms of the way he puts the combinations together, throws uppercuts, nullifies his opponents natural physical attributes, conserves energy by not wasting punches, accuracy etc.

Id put in Lennox Lewis at heavy, F. Mayweather at Welter.

You rate him quite highly? He never saw his true talent as it went on booze. Il check some footage on him, I remember he trained with Ali when he was in the uk.

I'm not sure I've seen anyone have the mixture of defensive wizardry and brutal offence that Duran held

Lewis is a good shout actually.

Ray Robinson is obviously the best example but I think a younger version of Hopkins, say the one that beat Tito relied heavily on technique, footwork and strategy.
