Most probably but I think he was even more so in the Tarver fight. I only remember Butch Lewis to shout and speak so much and that got Michael Spinks irritated against Butch himself in the first Holmes fight... I always thought it was Mayweather Sr. yelling for Oscar to go to the body. You can often hear Mayweather's voice loud and clear when he shouts from the corner. I have just gone back to look at round 9 of this fight and I think the reason everyone says it was fixed was because it was so sudden. Hopkins was putting the pressure on DLH and DLH hit him with a good left hook so all your attention is toward the shoulders facing the camera where the action is happening. But if you watch Hopkins' left hand it did find the mark and DLH responded in a timely fashion to that punch. There was a two second delayed reaction but there usually is when a liver shot is employed. People say he stayed on the ground too long but did some drama acting. If you look again he is on the ground from the pain for the 10 second count, the drama comes in when he knows he lost the fight. You are talking about someone being served his first ko in his whole career. One punch that ends it suddenly. Of course you would pound ****. Silly rumors. Why would Oscar let Hopkins win? Hopkins became a big name after this fight, not before.
