I dont think so, could be wrong though.

I actually had Pirog up three rounds to one, thought he was in control of the fight. I wouldnt take how the judges had the fight scored too seriously on this occasion.

    no ****.

only in boxing can you get a world title shot without every having one fight in that division while others have fought and been top 10 in the division for years

Pretty sure more fighters would be inclined to fight the white chocolate if it wasn't for Pirog demanding the fight to be held in Russia.

Homecooking decissions, no world exposure or PPV revenue ain't exactly the type of mix that would attract a world class fighter, you know. Hence the reason Martinez refused.

Not true at all, he only passed on NJikam's date in Equatorial Guinea. He's been trying to get a fight in the US for years, against Martinez or anyone that'll get him on hbo/sho. As for the offer to Martinez, what did you expect, to make him an offer for a fight in America? How can his promoter swing that?

A win over Ishida after PW swept 12 rounds from him recently at a catchweight of 155. So, Ishida is supposed to be competitive with Pirog at 160 after just taking that beating? This isn't even a Pirog tuneup, just a Pirog payday really.

Hopefully the rumors of HBO's desire for Geale/Pirog are true and we see that come early fall. I wish it was over the summer, but I'll take early fall. If it happens in the US, I hope they get a good local favorite on the undercard or something so the main event doesn't flop at the gate/in the audience.

Lol, This is a blatant lie. Pirog has been stalking Martniez for the longest time in the US and challenging to fight him even in Martinez' own country. Martinez is scared shitless and could only give excuses why there will be no pirog fight everytime he is confronted.

    Pirog: Cmon man, lets fight

Maravilla: please stop this. I am an old man who is looking for a big payday. I will only fight welterweight midgets and unknown eurobums from now on.

I agree. IMO, Lara beats everybody at 154 lbs except for Floyd.

They sent an offer to Martinez of $3 million for a bout in Russia. R-U-S-S-I-A.

Martinez wanted the fight to be held in America, and Dibella said they'd only go to Russia for twice that sum. The negotiations fell through because of Pirog's stuborness to consider those options.

Sergio doesn't avoid fighters, fighters avoid Sergio.:nono

You're an idiot. Pirog wanted to fight in the US but Dibella and Martinez said he had no name (like Dzinziruk and Barker did) saying there was no money in it so Pirog offered them 3 Million to fight in Russia if money is what they wanted. Martinez has been making 1.2 /1.3 on HBO so it would have more than 2x as much as he's ever made but Martinez still ducked him.
