Watching Benny Paret get pounded in the corner by Emile Griffith. I watched that when it actually happened on the old Saturday night Fight of the Week when I was 13 years old. I remember thinking that it was serious when Benny didn't get back up and they carried his lifeless form from the ring on a stretcher. Not a very nice memory.

I don't blame you for being afraid for Hatton, when I saw the fight a couple of days afterward I was worried about Hatton even though I knew by then that he hadn't been killed or badly hurt. Watching that live, with the way Hatton looked after the KO, must have been pretty gut churning.

For me, just counting things that I was watching live as it happened:

    Foreman-Moorer
Tyson-Holyfield I & II, for different reasons obviously
    Bowe-Golota I & II
    Oliver McCall's breakdown against Lewis
The whole WTF scenario of Cotto-Foreman
The unbelievable beating Pacquiao put on Barrera in their first fight. I was in a period where I wasn't following the sport closely, had never heard of Pac, and had been a Barrera fan for years. This was pretty much my expression for the whole fight: :yikes

    Same here.

Funny, there were about seven or eight people watching with me that night, and only perhaps one of them was a hard-core fan like myself, yet I thought the KO was far more shocking than all of them. They were all yap-yapping, and I was sat still saying "no, wait, seriously I think he might be dead" ....

I remember watching that fight at my brother-in-law's place, as soon as that punch went in and Hatton was on his way down I remember shouting (at 5 in the morning UK) 'Get a doctor' See also Graham - Jackson, that dude was out before he hit the canvas.

    McGuigan - Cruz

That was ****ing shocking. I do think McGuigan had tears on his face as he came out for the 13th. If not the look on his face was something along the lines of 'I'm dying'.

Recently, when FLoyd Mayweather was rocked by Mosley. The entire uneasiness I felt when the round was over.

I was jumping up and down like an idiot when Mosley caught him with that number, fantastic. Shane just couldn't pull the trigger that night, it's a shame.
