Man--I watched those fights you mentioned. In fact, I would bet I have watched boxing longer than you have. It doesn't matter because he does not have ONE significant win on his record. What does it matter that he wins all of his fights by margins of 12-0 in rounds or KO? Who are those guys? Are any of them in their prime AND HOF material? You and I agree on one thing, what matters is what happens in the ring. When VK was in the ring with Lewis, he lost. And no matter how you spin it or how many times you say "4-2" it was as a legit stoppage as you will ever see in this sport. You can easily say that VK might have won if the fight had been allowed to continue--and I can easily say that VK might have received a career ending eye injury. Neither of us know and any opinion is no better or greater than any other opinion. All we DO know is what happened in the ring--VK was stopped in a legit manner. A fighter's greatest measure is not how he looked in the ring, but who he beat when the opportunity was there. He had a top 10 ATG HW champ hurt and couldn't finish him. That's on VK.
So basically if you don't love Vitali as much as the d*ck head who started the thread then your a Vitali hater. Lewis beat Vitali, Lewis would have kod Vitali had the fight continued and Lewis beats Vitali prime for prime. Deal with it.
De la Hoya / Mosley 3. Shane refused to take the shorter cut of money - even though it would have been the most money he would have made at that time. Pride can sometimes make you stupid.
Vitali refusing to rematch Maskaev who whooped him in the amatuers. Quitali Bitchko only lasted a round with Maskaev & ducked him as a pro :-(
Khan vs. Maidana. Thats when I first started losing respect for Khan. Then he has the balls to demand a rematch from Peterson.
