thats because guys in their 20s spend their entire 20s waiting for the guys in their 30s to be in their 40's so they wont be as tough when they finally man up and take risks

I don't see the case for either.

Ward is coming off of wins over Kessler, Green, Bika, Abraham, and Froch. Dominant wins also. That's better than Cotto's wins at 154 recently over Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito. And if you want to go back a little further, the Clottey win wasn't decisive by any means.

Marquez lost to Pacquiao, yes, but most fans had him winning - two divisions over his current weight, too. Cotto didn't fare NEARLY as well against Pacquiao.

Both Ward and Marquez are better fighters than Cotto.

 

watching hopkins fight is like watching old leaves drop from a tree... beautiful, but can easily get boring.

 

That's fair enough. The reason I picked gamboa over Cotto was that he is the top dog of one of the best divisions I boxing, but the same could be said for Cotto I guess.
