Technically a really sound fighter but has anyone noticed how he defends himself from an overhand right? The man rolls/turns his neck away from the shot. I'm shocked no one has adressed this. Knockout waiting to happen.
He has a very bad chin. It looks like, he has heart, but he cant use it, because he cant take a Punch.
It's boxing dude. More than just beautiful skills are required - toughness, chin, conditioning, so many things can go wrong in the square ring where these extras are required.
This content is protected <----------This guy. It's no coincidence that Pacquiao, Khan and Linares all have the same flaws: NO DEFENSE, POOR FOOTWORK AND GET HIT WAY TOO MUCH. You would think a so-called great trainer could take a fighter with great speed, quickness and athleticism and incorporate some defense and footwork in their skillset...right? And it's also no coincidence that these fighters that have NO defense and poor footwork are being trained by someone who had the EXACT SAME FLAWS...Just sayin.
Because of his paper face he could lose to pretty much anyone, but with his talent I wouldn't put it passed him beating any of the top 10 guys
The cut bothered him greatly, he was up enough and should have cruised to a ud, there was no reason for him to give that fight away. Linares seems to turn out as one of those underachieving guys based on his skills.
Just watched the fight. Two things are apparent. 1) Linares has no ****ing defence. Absolutely none. He basically uses his feet for defence and anyone who can step with him and throw is going to beat him. 2) the stoppage itself was a joke. The doctor didn't even look at the cut. He litterally stepped onto the ring apron and half a second later was calling the fight off. He didin't touch the cut or try to clean it to get a better look at it. Just stepped onto the ring apron and started waving his arms. What a jokeatsch
