Won't happen any time soon. Maybe never. Both are managed by Al Haymon. Broner will probably end up at least a couple of weight classes higher than Russell. Russell has plenty to do with the featherweights. (Well, if it weren't for Bob Arum).
There is something I just dont like about broner. I don't know why, maybe it was that punk ass "brush my hair daddy!" line. Im like WTF is that ****?
GRJr looks more like a phenom and natural fighter than Broner, but we still need to see GRJr getting pushed and tested by a world class fighter. Sooner or later like every fighter GRJr going to face an opponent that can take his power and GRJr will have to take his. Right now Broner better tested and proven I give him the edge. Craftier and bigger fighter too.
ive been thinking about this match up too...both are pretty big for their respective weight classes...especially broner whove ive seen fight night come in at 144 for a junior lightweight fight....I could see them fighting down the line at 135-140 considering both weight classes are consistently deep with comp and big fights...Russel has better punching technique and seems more accurate whereas Broner is bigger just as fast and the more powerful puncher. could be a p4p matchup in 4-5 years
