yeah it's called showing respect. It doesn't mean ****. Ali would beat Lewis and maybe even stop him late. china chin Lewis.
Lennox is insanly overrated on this board, mostly its Klitlickers thinking that if Lennox can TKO 6 Vitali than he can beat Ali Well they are very, very wrong and im sure if u asked Lennox himself even he would tell u that he would lose to the G.o.a.t
Dont forget Ali survived prime Foreman,Liston and Shavers who hit harder than Lewis. Ali went down from Cooper,he wasnt stopped and he didn't even lose. Lewis actually lost from Rahman and McCall!
I'm a big Lewis fan but I think he would struggle with prime 60's Ali. 70's Ali he might be able to beat but not the fast, fleet footed version of the 60's that destroyed Cleveland Williams. Lewis struggled against guys who could jab with him. Mercer, Bruno and Vitali were all able to jab with Lewis and in these fights he was forced to get inside and get shots off as he wasn't able to dominate behind his jab like he did with the vast majority of his opposition. He would be forced to do the same but Ali is much more elusive than Mercer, Bruno and Vitali and had a chin good enough to withstand even Lewis' vaunted right hand. Ali might get stunned or even dropped on the way but he would do enough to win a decision.
The amount of clueless posters on here is frightening. Wlad's now out jabbing Ali and causing him problems with his footwork. I ****ing despair I really do.
Lewis also survived against Bruno Golota Holyfield x2 Grant Tua vitali Botha Briggs Morrison Ruddock who all punch harder then Ali and there's probably a couple I missed. It's like me saying Ali got stopped by Holmes who probably doesn't punch as hard as Lewis so Lewis would KO him. Obviously Ali was shot to **** but Lewis wasn't in his prime for either of them bouts. When Lewis was in his prime he took big shots and his chin is vastly underrated. 2 punches have put him down so you assume he has a glass chin? It's okay to base your opinions in fights revolving past experiences but to say Lewis loses simply because he was KOed twice is ridiculous. I feel like I'm starting too side with Ali though. Past 70s I think loses however pre 70s I'm starting to think Ali would win a fairly close but decisive decision
Fair assessment. I give Ali the edge because his ring IQ is incredibly high and he can improvise better than any HW Champion, past or present. Lewis is a live underdog but I think Ali is a clear favorite. It's the Klitschko Fans.
tentatively picked Lewis, i dont think anyone can definatively pick a winner, what a great matchup it would have been.
