As of noon PST, Sportsbook.com has it : Joel Julio (-225) Cornelius Bundrage (+185) over 9.5 rounds (-105) under 9.5 rounds (-135)
The winner of this fight could possibly fight for cintron's ibf strap,so this is a very good fight and i got julio by tko or ko,i like both fighter's,but i like julio in this matchup. And i see a fight between cintron vs julio later this year for the ibf title.
I see Joel Julio blasting Bundrage out somewhere between rounds 1-5. Bundrage carries his left hand extreemly low, so I wouldn't be surprised if a powerful right hand ends the fight. Bundrage has never been in with a puncher of this caliber, yet he's been staggered and hurt before several times. Don't blink on this one.
at the same time julio is there to be hit and quintana and rivera both foguth very well with rivera looking a lil unlucky imo
This has the potential to be a good fight. I'm pulling for K-9 because he's a fellow Detroiter, but I like the Love Child, too. If I was a betting man, I'd probably go with Julio. Both guys can be hurt; whoever lands the first really big punch could end it early.
Granted, Julio isn't hard to find, but he's faced heavier hitters than Bundrage in his 32 fights (including) Cosme Rivera and Carlos Quintana. Julio does have some trouble with movers, smart counterpunchers, defensive boxers, etc. Quintana is a slick southpaw and Rivera a cagey veteran with a good chin (only 1 KO loss in 42 fights). Bundrage is none of these things, though. He's pretty much a raw meat-n-potatoes, come-forward, type fighter who can jab a bit, but can be easily hurt. In my opinion, Bundrage's blatant lack of defense is tailor-made for Julio's punishing offense. I don't think Bundrage presents anything Julio hasn't seen before. On the other hand, a fighter whom Julio would have problems with in the near future is Luis Collazo. I'd have to pick Collazo on a points win.
This should be a good one, both guys are "fighters". Julio should have the edge but K9 aint no pushover.
I dont really care for K9, I hope Julio wins, I think having his "O" taken from him by Quintana will help his career in the long run.
