I do know what I am talking about watch some films on Liston and George Foreman was young and stupid when he stepped into the ring with Ali. Ali got lucky and he knew it so did Angelo if they would of had another fight George would have put Ali away. so A prime George foreman was actually when he was in his forties. I do not think that Liston had an amateur background at all. yes amateur boxing has declined in the USA not not in other countries. Liston was a big heavyweight back then but not in this era. check and see how many of ali's opponents or Listons opponents had an extensive amateur background to learn the basics foreman did and a few others. Yes Ali did have good lateral movement but he had a typical pattern . a lot of fighters have god lateral movement. I do know what I am talking about . Do not use the word fact in anything that you post because you will always have a difficult time proving fact

Another thing both fighters fought to make the fight shorter by their tactics.

Why do you want to lie? Wepner never stepped into the ring anywhere near 240 lbs the most I think was 220 to 225 he was closer to 6'4" But he was the New york city Novice champion as an amateur and that is how he did fight.

I would favor Ali but Wlad would have more than just a chance at winning

:rofl I cant believe what I'm reading..Ali is miles ahead of Haye in every aspect of the game with the exception of power punching...
:patsch Ali has been hit by thunderous shots during his career and highly doubt he would get dropped by Wlad.

What if Wlad cant land anything of note on Ali??? How will he deal with ad******g his initial game plan??? I see you left that little part out of your post...Ali would make the right adjustments and find a way to beat Wlad...His ring generalship gets very overlooked today by NEW SCHOOL fans.

 WOW, so let me get this straight...I'm stupid because I dont see Wlad beating Ali???:rofl

Gotta love how dumbass people cant accept one's opinion...You can call me stupid all you want but that still not gonna get your point across...If Wlad sits back and fight a patient fight...He's gonna get picked apart...IF Wlad tries to press the action...He's gonna get countered and eventually stopped in the later rounds...Ali has the chin to take what Wlad dishes out.

You need to seriously watch more film before you try to run your mouth and call somebody stupid!:-(

Surely, but perhaps with a questionmark for reflexes. Hayes reflexes are truly superb, and IMO his best asset. Obviously he aint got the footwork to go with it, but I wonder if a prime Ali was really that much harder to hit than a defensive Haye.

Wlad would have been among the hardest hitter Ali had faced. There is a chance Wlad would have dropped him, but it aint nothing to bet money on.

I agree with both points. Wlad would struggle to land, and Ali would adjust.

Wlad has a good defence nad is good at winning rounds with his jab. I think this strategy would be the best option for him, and would perhaps be suffiicent to make it close.

Assumning he breaks down mentally as he did against Purrity and Sanders, no doubt.

Against punchers like Wlad there is no bulletproof chin, but there is a good chance it would hold up.

The luxury of calling strangers stupid is what brings people to ESB. Without it, the webbpage would lack visitors and stop exisiting. For the good of ESB you should encourage it.

Ali is so overrated it's a disgrace. He also held, clutched, clinched, and squeezed his way through fights way more than Vlad. The Cleveland Wiliams fight being shown as an example of Alis "Greatness" is stupidilty, or act of desperation, since that fight is known to be a farce, due to Williams being out two years cause of bullet near spine, and unable to compete on that level when he got the fight.
