I think the perfect time for it was 2010 after Mayweather beat Mosley so badly. That removed any doubt he still had it that might have been in peoples minds after he beat JMM who was just way out of his weight class. Both were red hot. I can't help but think boths recent performances (particularily Pacs it has to be said) and all the whiny excuses not to make the fight have cooled the interest. I used to get really up for every England football tournament but after so many years it became obvious we were never going to win anything and after a while I stopped caring and stopped watching. If they keep putting it off people are going to go the same way with the fight, people will just get bored off waiting and get wrapped up in the next UFC fight or whatever else comes along that grabs the fringe fans attention.

who is their right ****ing mind would pay $60 to watch WWE, even as a child I didn't want to pay £15 (appox $24) to watch that crap!

But yeah Pac Mayweather would sell more, hell Mayweather Cotto with alot of luck could too, doubt it will, but it could

Is that the highest ppv numbers from wrestle mania/wrestling ever, both wrestling and the pac-may fight are past prime though.

Gonna watch the wrestle mania highlights later, come at me bro.

Simply put the 1.9 PPV buys were for The Rock. WWF > WWE. The current pg roster can't wrestle, don't have charisma and can't even cut promo's.

are you kidding me. I think I can talk for most of us, that pac-money well promoted would easily be around 3 million ppv buys. would floyd be an knock out artist like pac and finish fights than even 3,5-4. there has never been a more hyped fight ever than this one.

Wonder how much The Rock was paid, because those numbers where down to him pretty much.

I haven't watched wwe wrestling since the mid 90s or right about the time wcw went under. Anyway it's the same as paying to see the movie, zoo, circus, sporting events, etc. It's entertainment value to some people.

What I find most interesting is that the PPV # is out already after just a few days but it takes months for numbers in boxing? What's up with that?

A Martinez bout would even sell extremely well. How hard is this to make appealing with Floyd's name headlining the event?
