I know that but in this type of fight I doubt Ali would KO him unless Lewis gassed like foreman, however he has the ring iq to not let that happen. Was just making a point about how Ali has lost and been out boxed to a decision before whereas Lewis hasn't. And tbh Lewis chin wasn't even that bad. He took hits from huge punchers that didnt KO him like Vitali, Tua and Bruno. Only 2 flush right hands in Lewis career spoil it from being the best heavyweight of all time.
Lewis also got a gift decision against Merciless Ray Mercer in Madison Square Garden and got lucky against Vitali Klitschko as well. Lewis should really have 4 losses.
He never got lucky against Vitali, rather he beat the crap out of him. Vitali looked like he got hit by a truck after the fight, how the hell is that luck? As for Ali, he had virtually no inside fighting game other that to try and pull a fighters head down, nor was he a power puncher of note, unless you want to count the second Liston fight with the so called anchor punch. As for the Mercer fight that wasn't a gift decision it could have gone either way. A gift decision is what Holyfield received when he got a draw against Lewis in their first fight when virtually everyone who saw the fight thought that Lewis won about 9 rounds. That's a gift decision.
I lean towards Ali to outspeed and outjab Lewis and win a dull decision in a close-ish fight. I would be more confident in Lewis's chances if he had a better left hook. That's not to say he had a poor one, it saved him against Bruno, but it wasn't nearly the punch his right cross was, or his right uppercut. Ali was more vulnerable to left hooks than right crosses and right uppercuts.
I think he'd gotten control of Vitali, but the million dollar question is did the cut **** Vitali up, or had Lewis just survived the storm, but certainly got a gift v Mercer! I genuinely give Lewis little to no chance v Ali. When Ali takes his jab away by being so much faster in his reflex and decision making, Lewis would look awkward and clumsy. Id rather have seen Lewis v Frazier or Lewis v Foreman, as I dont think Ali v Lewis is either competitive or exciting.
Got a gift against Mercer? You talking like Mercer was robbed. It was a very close fight that the majority scored for Lewis but wouldn't have complained if it had gone the other way. Hardly a gift decision.
Can't really say anything you've posted wrong Ali wouldn't win on the inside and he'd have knew that, on,y way I can see Ali winning is by boxing on the outside
Yes, much better! Then I guessing youre a 12 year old spastic who only ever seen Liston v Clay/Ali. Foreman said he was terrified of Liston when in camp with him.
Foreman was only 20 years old you douche. I really hope your trolling right now. Just because foreman said he was afraid of Liston, Liston is better than Lewis? Great logic
We never saw the best Ali because his prime years was taken away from the fans. However, Before his layoff Ali was untouchable. His fluidity and grace put the sweetness in the sweet science. I really cannot see anybody beating that version of Ali. That Ali would beat any version of Lennox. Prime v Prime would be amazing to see but Ali was just to damn good.
