Is "starvation mode" a myth or real??

    What the ****? Can this starvation mode occur after as little as 2 days of not eating enough cals or does it require a longer time of low calories

    Everyone is different but if you notice a lot of these light weight guys at weigh ins have very little muscle and still look pudgy in the gut (Donaire, Corrales, anyone?) This is the way they train - not eating to make weight but still doing intense long sessions. Some will keep there muscle better than others but a lot of true ectomorphs who are training long endurance will lose muscle before they will lose fat overall, because the body will try to store any food coming in.

    look at marathon runners and they are all skinny but fat looking fools with the high adipose deposit in their midsection but spindly arms and legs yuck.
