Every boxer knows how to fight from the outside and the inside, but every boxer is better at one or the other and it depends on who they are fighting. Mayweather has always shown good skills on the inside even when he got pressured. He is still predominately fighting a counter punch style, but he's not afraid to walk forward because he knows he can neautralize the opponents attacks forwards or backwards. Mayweather is justa great tactician. He fought Mosley going forward cause he got hit and he wanted to prove he was tougher.

No I haven't. When he fought Shane Mosley, he put up the same double high guard that Clottey puts up, the only difference is he didn't take as many chances and kept mosley at range to potshot his way to a victory because he knew Mosley doesn't throw a lot of punches, and he wasn't as fast as he used to be in that fight.. Now the TS, just said he changed his style up more and explained why, where i'm saying that he would have to go back to his old style in the lightweight days in order to beat Pacquaio. You might not agree with my assessment but that's ok, that's how I see it. You have your opinion, I have mines.

That's because Clottey has a great defense too(kind of like a winky wright without the jab) and he also relies on timing but the reason he didn't throw as much is because Manny didn't let him. He kept him on the defense by throwing so much at him and turning him with his footwork.

And Floyd doesn't counterpunch like Marquez and I believe the poster Bogotazo broke that theory down,(and showed examples of why) maybe you should go bump that thread up.

he changed his style cuz he doesn't need to run like an amatuer but he could now sit in the pocket and defend all day!

No. The reason he didn't punch was because he was scared to **** off many and wasn't quick enough to counter him. Mayweather will land the straight right at will against PAC just like he does to everyone. PAC has a punchers chance at most. If Marquez schooled PAC it's worrying to think what money may gon do :smoke

Well can argue back forth all about who can do what but if they never fight, we'll never know. You don't know, and guess what neither do I. We're just giving opinions of what we think will happen. Boxing is the theatre of the unexpected and anybody can lose on any givin night.

    Potshot? You are smoking.

Pac has horrible defense and a severe reach advantage. That isn't even counting the complete lack of timing and footwork when it comes to a fight with Mayweather.

Pac is going to be surgically picked apart. He will be hit and then swinging at air. If JMM could do it FMJ is going to find it hella easy.

Sorry dog. You are hella wrong. Throwing punches doesn't matter if the other guy can hit you long before you are even in range.

Pac knows what he is going to get. That is exactly why Arum and Pac are avoiding this fight like the plague.

I don't think his legs are shot, but he's not 25 years old and fighting at lower weights anymore either. Personally I like Mayweather staying in the pocket a little more as it brings some excitement to his fights; something that was noticicably missing for a while.

We'll see. You got your opinion and I got mines. If the fight ever happens and he beats him, than no one can say anything. We'll see how he fares against this new improved version of Cotto.(that's the way it looks in terms of his preparation, but the truth will come out when the bell rings)

That is coo, but how can your opinion even hold up when JMM did that to the "improved" version of Pac? What the hell does JMM have that Mayweather doesn't have MORE of? Height? Reach? Speed? Timing? Footwork? All signs point to Pac looking like the fraud he is. I just can't see how someone after seeing FMJ/JMM and MP/JMM can come to any other conclusion.

I can't see any way for Cotto to win. See the Brussels fight. Still, this is Boxing so you never know.
