Cotto leads because that's pretty much all he has. Anytime he backs up he becomes severely limited. Marquez does both better than Cotto, so how anyone can say he's more versatile than Marquez is a bit off. The only advantage Cotto has is the weight and punching power.

He fought Clottey at 147Ibs. Clottey was fighting at welterweight way before that fight. And Margarito also was fighting heavier than the welterweight limit even though it was at 150Ibs. He couldn't knock Margarito out and if Marg was that drained he would of stopped him. Same with Clottey. Clottey actually said Pac never hurt him either.

Ok let me ask you this: Who fought a better Marquez at welterweight, Pac or Mayweather?

It's not your opinion of cotto winning, it's your woeful boxing analysis that I really disagree with.

maybe i missed it...but point me to the fight where jmm fought effectively going backwards. i can't recall a single time he did that better. take ur time...give it some thought...i'll wait.

marquez leading/being aggressive gets him in trouble. *see the knock down in pac/jmm 2 and the knock down against floyd* he's much more effective when a fighter comes at him. i will say that marquez is more of a sharp shooter than cotto. he has pin point shots. but i've not seen jmm create too many openings like cotto does by throwing in combination and beating on arms and shoulders. that is going to be essential against a defensive wizard like floyd. u are not going to get any clean shots on him.

But if he wins than my boxing analysis holds some weight. Or you gonna tell me it doesn't? Because i'm picking him to get the upset. And I can care less whether you agree with my analysis, I have my own mind and I don't need you to tell me something if I see something different than you do.

and what did either guy do in the fights against pac? nothing. they just followed him around hardly throwing any shots and absorbing everything he threw. pac didn't have enough ass to stop either guy. they are both naturally bigger.

Yeah but Clottey is not an active a guy and never has been. Don't you think Pacqauios workrate and speed had a lot to do with that by him throwing punches?

i forgot about that one...but to be honest...i can't help but think that a guy like katsidis wouldn't have made it past the 3rd round against a guy like cotto.

no he isn't....but in comparison to other fights, he did almost nothing. i don't believe his workrate and speed is anything extraordinary when all things are equal. where was that extraordinary workrate against jmm? let's see where it will be against bradley. the weight drain game isn't going to work on him. let's see what happens.

Cotto would demolish him. Katsidis is very limited. The whole point of his points is to make Floyd Mayweather look better than what he really is. He dominated a fat lethargic version of Marquez(everyone knows Marquez was better prepared for the Pacquaio fight, the whole 24/7 proved that and the so did the fight) and now he feels the same will happen to Cotto. That's what he's looking at.
