He had a real knowledge of how to fight and a granite jaw. Tunney was such a master boxer even Ali marveled at his skills on Wide World of Sports. Schmeling-great boxer, defensively great. Marciano, Langford, Spinks-great fighters. This poster and those like him are simply assinine and bring thek board IQ down everytime they talk. It is what drives people away from these boards. The hero worship of Jones, Tyson, et all vs. the facts of what happened in their careers is astounding. I also love the myth that Hearns was such a good middleweight, when in fact he was horrible at middle and constantly wobbled by mediocrities. Then the boast that "Noone could trade with prime Tyson". Based on what. His beating Holmes era rejects. Holyfield traded and though Tyson they say was past his prime, he still had only been fighting 11 yrs. Holyfield wasn't even a very good puncher in history. Too much hero worship on these boards and not enough relying on factual events that DID happen and stories of experiences at the fights
