I'm curious who you guys think wins this fight. In my mind, DLH at this point was a complete shell of his former self. I believe that Cotto would win this one convincingly and possibly take dlh out with body shot (worse than what bhop did).

If people do indeed think that Cotto would outlast this version of DLH, do these same people believe then, that Cotto will have an even better showing than oscar had against floyd?

I agree that Oscar was well past his best, but I think he beats Cotto. Cotto squares off to much and lacks defence. I think Oscar stays a step ahead and wins a clear decision. Oscar was pretty consistent in performing well in the biggest fights if his career, even when he list he was always top shelf.

Cotto wins. He can do everything that Oscar did and more.

Oscar and Cotto(e) have quite a few similarities. Look at how quickly Oscar killed Mayorga compared to Miguel

Cotto woulda wupped DLH. DLh was nothing by the time he fought Floyd.

Between those two versions, Cotto wins.

I could see Cotto implementing a similar gameplan like in the Margarito fight and box / turn Oscar. Oscar was pretty flat footed at the end of his career.

"Kill" is a bit of a stretch dont you think. we're not talking about 90's DLH. we're talking about DLH, the part time fighter. took 2 years off after Bhop loss, then fought Mayorga, then took another year off to fight Floyd.

During that fight, outside of his jab, he had nothing. His flurries were similar Calzaghe's girly slaps. His body may not have been hardened enough to take Cotto's body assault.

If he were to win, which is quite possible, it definitely would not be a killing, as you would suggest.

That's funny, because that shell Hoya beat the **** out of Mayorga and stopped him in 6 rounds in his previous fight. Cotto went 12 rounds with, and didn't look anywhere as dominant a much older and worse version of Mayorga.

The Cotto who fought Margarito(the current Diaz Cotto) is better than the one that fought Mayorga. Emmanuel Stewart trained him for that fight but Emmanuel only came in to help him with his balance and utilize his boxing ability more. Diaz is helping Cotto with his stamina and punchout put and adding more elements to his game. Me and you have different views on Cotto but we'll find out May 5th.

Cotto takes this, UD even a possible late stoppage, Prime I think Golden boy would get em though

he lost to Bhop who is better than anyone Cotto(e) has ever fought

who really has much when fighting Mayweather? Oscar's best shot is his hook. It just happens to be that Floyd isn't vulnerable to that shot at all

Cotto(e) had the luxury of dealing with an old Mayorga. This is Mayorga. He's not rocket science
