Why Hasnt Mayweather Jr. Ever Fought Outside USA?

Sugar Ray Robinson and Ali both did world tours, shame fighters dont do it anymore.

 

It's illegal to bribe fans with offers of free rooms, buffets, and limo rides from the airport outside of the US.

 

Mayweather has been over to the uk to promte fights with hatton and also for the marquez fight. He said he would love to fight in wembley stadium.

He gets a lot of love form the uk fight fans and he actually said that we seem to be more positive towards him. It would be great to get him over here but its unlikely

maybe Brook in UK if he gets some good wins and becomes on of the division young guns. Thats a long way off though.

 

SRR and Ali is nothing compare to Floyd! Has they ever had any fights where there were free buffets, rooms, and limo rides from the airport? ....I don't think so. Floyd # 1

 

Game was different, didn't revolve around PPV and prime time Television. Depended much more on "site fees" and/or Ticket sales.

Well,early in his career Floyd fought alot of fights outside of vegas,but right now he is top dog and calls the shots.

 

He's a domestic level fighter. He needs to prove himself by fighting in Germany or the UK

 

mayweather needs to stay in the USA and take domestic-level fights for the next 4-5 years before making the step up to European-level fights.

 

It would be nice for the fans but all the greatest fights were in US and there is the mst money to be made, so i guess thats the reason.
