i'm watching the repeats of TUF 1. just got to the part where josh beats chris in the octagon. since then how have their careers gone in your opinion? neither bacame world champs.[i don't think!] however josh did fight for one. not sure about leben? whose been more successful? i would think they'd had more or lesws the same amount of big money fights and earned much the same? last time i heard leben he sounded quite punchy and difficult to understand, which is a big shame.. i wish they'd fight again.
Koscheck definitely has the better resume, its undisputed. Many would regard Leben as a gatekeeper rather than a legitimate contender like Josh. You believe Josh would be a champion in another time whereas Leben would probably be more likely to capture gold during the earlier years of MMA rather than the evolved state its in now. And if Josh could make the weight alright, he'd keep Leben down for 3.
Koscheck has been more successful without a doubt. If it wasn't for GSP, koscheck would probably been a champion already. Leben has not come close to a title shot.
It has to be Koscheck. Both guys have plenty of quality of wins and both of their biggest wins came agianst faded legends Wandy and Hughes. Difference is Koscheck made it to the Championship fight and hes on a 2 fight streak since he could very well make it back to the title agian especially if GSP isnt Champion. Leben was close well kinda when he was 5-0 and fought Anderson Silva.
Leben vs. Silva was for a shot at Rich Franklin's title... Now it seems Leben will get his head straight, win 2-3 fights, get to a big contender fight and totally break down. Koscheck is constantly putting on good shows and arguably the 2nd or 3rd best WW in the UFC.
No it wasn't. The UFC did a poll straight after Silva's victory to see who they should give the shot to.
