Is there anybody here that feels Marquez won the first JMM/Pac fight?

JMM edged it in rounds by a round imo. He won a string of 'em mid rounds. The perception that JMM "schooled" Pac after round 2 is an illusion however. It was just astonishing to see JMM come back after that devastating 1st round that people gave him the benefit of the doubt the rest of the way....that even when Pac won a round close alot of people still gave it to Marquez. But the way I see it, Pac won first 2, lost next 4-5, then it was tit-for-tat the rest of the way. With JMM apologists probably giving mostr of those close late rounds to JMM.

Manny looked like **** after the first round...he didn't know how to adapt to Marquez style.

    I had it a draw.

not an illusion at all..most fans actually do believe JMM schooled Pacquiao after round 2.

The only illusion is the one that ****** Arum gives to you *******s. That's why he keeps pushing off the Mayweather fight...to make you *******s and the casual fan believe that Manny still has business with Marquez...sure, he does...but they can do that after Floyd whoops on Pacquiao.

***** ass *******s can't accept that Pacquiao met his match and it was Arum and his check book who made sure Pacquiao didn't "lose" even when he "lost."

I always had it 7-5 JMM in rounds, 113-112 Pac in score.
You can give it 8-4 JMM without a problem. (113-112, JMM)

What I don't understand is people saying they are the the end all be all of boxing judgement and give ridiculous score sheets such as 10-2 JMM when even on the 3rd fight, the RESPECTABLE AND UNBIASED boxing writers and analysts of the world were almost split in the middle, with 52% favoring JMM and an awful lot of people giving it a draw.

Huge Marquez fan here, but I think Pac beat him by a point in the first... the 2nd 2 fights are a whole different story.

Seeing some people’s opinions and scoring or the first two fights, I'm no longer surprised at the level of robbery people complain about in the 3rd around here. This forum should really be called East Side Bias. A lot of fans just see what they want to see. For a fighter who never disrespects or talks **** about anyone, Pac sure is polarizing.

I had Pac up on all three fights but just barely. Close fights all but none a robbery. I've never had a problem seeing when my favorites lose close fights even against fighters I really dislike. And in this case I actually like both guys. *shrug* Whatever. Maybe we'll get a fourth fight to debate in 10,000 threads next year.

"respectable and unbiased" is an opinion.

46 percent of writers (poll the following week on HBO Championship Boxing) had it a win for Marquez...42 percent had it a win for Pacquiao..12 percent had it a draw.

As for the fans, the following week the HBO poll had some 81% a win for Marquez...those are ridiculous numbers.

Note-I'm going off memory so my numbers might be a little off...give or take 10 percent on the fans poll

It seems like every time I watch this fight I change a round or two. I've had it JMM by one, a draw, and Pac by one.

I love fights like this; they inspire long term, meaningful debate that will never end.

I had Marquez winning all 3.
1st was the closest, because of the 1st round, the 3rd was nothing short of a robbery.
In both those fights Pac got a lesson, and I think the 2nd was Pac's best performance v JMM, but it was still a JMM win.

if you don't meet the expectation, some people will automatically think that you lost.

nah...........Pacquiao "lost" but Arum's checkbook made sure he didn't "lose"

Your boy lost that fight bro...It's arguably, one of the worst robberies in the history of the sport man.

The following week, an HBO poll had 83% of boxing fans voting Marquez won. 12% voting a draw.

Source is the following week's HBO poll. Now go cry about it.:hi:
