If they were to fit again what should the split be? The general consensus on Floyd and PAC is 50/50. But arguably in my book a man that has went life and death with PAC in all three fights and won at least two of the three. What should his compensation be. He being Marquez has taken less money in the first three fights and this time should be rewarded for not only his boxing skill, ATG status but also his legacy. Now I'm not advocating for Marquez to get 50/50. I'm doing this to show how stupid people sound saying give PAC 50/50 when his last fight was a gift decision. I COULD SEE PAC ASKING MARQUEZ FOR 50/50 but not Floyd. Oscar never gave any his P4P status as the cash cow. Even after he lost to FLOYD HE WANTED TO ONLY GIVE FLOYD 35% OF THE TOTAL REVENUE NOT PPV. That's sounds just as silly as PAC getting 50% against Floyd whom is undefeated and has been in the highest grossing PPV in history. The same way PAC short changes Marquez, Mosley, Clottey, Cotto and next Bradley is the same way Floyd should treat PAC. To PAC credit it probably was the other guys biggest payday outside of those that fought Mayweather, but now he is in the same position and should accept 35% or 40 million which would be his biggest payday and if he wins, he takes Floyd's fans and if a rematch is warranted the lions share of the money. Fare is Fare Word to PAC. You don't need Arum to make this fight sell. Buy out your contract for this fight and get all of your money. Cut your loses with the not needed entourage and invest in your family. You have looked out for everyone else long enough. Take care of yourself for once. This is just being as real as it gets.
Considering the fact that JMM has given PAC his biggest numbers pre and post DLH and has beaten Pac by most accounts he deserves a fair share. At least 60/40!
Go read an economics book. Make sure you focus on terms such as market value, specifically how supply (the fighter) and demand (popularity) determines market price (who gets paid more)....then you'll get your answer. It has nothing to do with how whomever's last fight went.
even though marquez deserves his share, the fact remains that 75% of the PPV subscribers are there to watch pac, as overhyped and protected he is, average man on the street knows him and pays to watch him. so i think a 60/40 in favour of pac is fair
Purse split has a lot to do with marketability. Having said that though, I do feel 60/40 is a fair and well earned split if they did it again now.
No. He deserves more than the first fight but nowhere near 50/50. Despite the loss, Pac is still the much bigger draw.
John Maynard keynes you are not. On aggregate, Pac has a higher market value than Twitter Queen. He generates more money for the local economy, higher gates, sells more merchandise, higher profile endorsements...yet a self-described litigator like you seems lost on the concept. Where the **** did you get your degree from...tijuana online law school?
