This content is protected :think I must admit I don't know a whole lot 'bout Brad, but I'm pumped for this fight.:bbb
If you catch him coming forward and follow up, he falls back and folds up behind his guard with no answer. If he knows you're going to come at him and establish an offensive rhythm, however, he's become a very able counter-puncher.
Agree with a lot that has been said. Bradley, for me, has to get the basics right first, he needs his foot on the outside of Pacquiao's. I think Tim will surprise Pacquiao with his speed so I would throw a combination early to show Manny that I'm ready for the fight. I think Bradley has to use a lot of head and lateral movement and again with the feints because not only will this make Bradley harder to hit, it will make Manny more hesitant to throw punches because he won't be landing. It's obvious Pacquiao can't deal with fighters who circle to his right, Bradley should circle to Manny's right to avoid the powerful left hand, but also keeping the head movement whilst circling to avoid the right hooks, also whilst circling, as stated before, Bradley has to be throwing, sharp jabs, quick right hands, snappy uppercuts and left hooks, mixing up his combinations to make Manny hesitant and wary about what attack is coming. Then once a few rounds have been in the bag, I would mix up the game plan because Manny and Roach would of prepared for a lot of what has been stated, again using head movement, foot movement, lateral movement, feints, I would tell Bradley to work his way inside and staying at close-range to Manny, this is where Bradley has a HUGE advantage IMO. Once on the inside, Bradley should dig to Pacquiao's body and finish off the inside work with short, snappy punches, also try and push Manny around in the clinches as Pacquiao won't feel comfortable being pushed around. Then once Manny has become frustrated at not working Bradley would I would tell Bradley to continuously work Pacquiao on the inside and then use foot movement to counter Manny as he becomes frustrated. I would hope/expect for a Points Decision.
He can only win one way - box like he never boxed before. Bradley does not have the power to suddenly change the complexion of the game in any instant. He does not even have the size advantage nor the speed advantage. If he fights himin close quarters, he will be brutalized. Biggermen got knocked down by punches that wree unconventional. Bradley should learn how to fight in the backfoot, esentially be aware when Pac starts his footmovement, and take a step backwards or two before countering. Karate practioners actually employ similar startegy, although they are actuallymore observant of the shoulder. But JMM is so adeptin this.EvenMosley actually. Once pac starts to initiate movement,Mosley would already be two steps back. Not nice looking but it would be very effective.
I've been saying this for years. Manny can't adapt for ****. I compare him to PW in this regard. Manny will literally throw the same combination over, and over, and over, and over again . He's a broken record. Manny lunges in which causes all his weight to be distributed on his lead leg. This limits his movement to just being able to move backwards . This is the moment when JMM would land a counter almost every time. Manny also has lapses mentally when fighters use movement and don't exchange with him. Now with all this being said. Here's what Bradley can do. He can go the Clottey route at first. Shell up when Manny barrages. Let Manny throw his wild wide ass punches . Counter his ass when Manny steps back to regain his footing. Thats number 1. Number 2. Grab and hold Manny when he gets too close the n go to his body. You don't have to head hunt against Manny. Manny is no in fighter. If Bradley is disiplined he can easily get Manny out his game of Rockem Sockem because Manny does not box. Number 3. Shane had success simply stepping backwards then popping Manny with a jab. If you disrupt Manny's momentum he's ****ed. He likes to lunge in then throw a combinations. This looks extremely well against guys who stand in place and exchange with him . Simply move back. You don't even have to move laterally with Manny to avoid his onslaught. Always keep Manny guessing never catching on to your rthym. This is when holding will become very handy for Bradley. He can easily be a matador against Manny whose a bull in a China store.
For once, kindly digest what i just wrote? It is official fight night poster, not my own design. I used to have Gayweather in straightjacket but then I really don't hate Gayweather that much, more frustrated. I do however hate *****s.
I'm baffled at people who are saying follow the JMM blueprint, Bradley is not that kind of fighter, and trying to do what JMM did will lose him the fight. Bradley has to fight to his strengths to stand a chance, and thankfully, one of his best assets which is his inside game, is also one of Manny's weakest. Furthermore, if he tries to hang on the outside and box, Manny has faster hands, faster feet, great head movement and better boxing skills then people give him credit for. Manny will win in the centre of the ring. Bradley has the upper hand on the inside, that's where he can win this fight. The issue is that Manny is at his best when guys lead and try to walk him down, (see the fights with Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, ODLH). Bradley is at his best leading, coming forward and trying to walk his opponent down. The danger for Bradley lies in the mid-range, unfortunately to make it a phone-booth fight he needs to get through the mid-range. He should look at the Hatton-Pacquaio fight as a what to do, and what not to do! Mayweather sr's plan for Ricky was to get inside by using his jab, head movement and feints, once on the inside Ricky actually landed a few decent shots. At a couple of moments, Ricky did actually use feints and head movement, he actually got inside and was able to hit Pac. Unfortunately, Ricky's head wasn't in it that night, he ignored his trainer and gameplan, got hit and tried to rush Manny like a wild bull, the rest is history. Tim is smarter than that, to get inside, he needs to use his jab, use head movement and upper body movement and feint to disturb Manny's rhythm. Once inside, I imagine he'll be physically stronger than Manny, and can fight his fight. Tim reminds me of Holyfield in some ways, he fights hard! If he tries to slug it out, he'll get stopped. If he gets hurt, he has to tie up, step out, and avoid getting drawn into exchanges. The inside is where Tim can win a decision.
Bradley doesn't have the power to hurt Pacquiao, he also doesn't have the power to wear him down IMO. It's a tough one for Bradley because he has to outwork a very good worker. My first point to be made has already been laid out word for word... ...:good The two distances Bradley needs to be fighting at are long and short range, the latter requiring more thinking and caution. At long range, as was mentioned above, Bradley needs to be circling left, trying to make Pacquiao miss with the straight left. At this distance, Pacquiao can get in to a rhythm and use his very fast footwork to create angles to land powerful shots. Bradley doesn't necessarily need to match Pacquiao in terms of speed in this area, but he shouldn't be offering Pacquiao a stationary target at any point in this bout at this distance. Once he sees Pacquiao preparing to go on one of his 'fast feet' assaults (which is easier said than done) which he routinely does, he needs to be moving...otherwise you can get caught up in it all, and before you know it, you have been hit with 6-7 shots without having the chance to reply. At this distance, Bradley should be mixing it up by leading, feinting, and countering. Leading with the jab, try make Pacquiao bite, then reply with 2-3 shots. He should be feinting using both hand, foot and body movement, making Pacquiao either take the bait, or allowing himself to get in to a position were Pacquiao puts up his high guard and allows not only Bradley to close the distance and reach the inside, but also allows free reign for him to unload on Pacquiao (it is workrate that will be his best chance at winning this bout). I also wouldn't mind seeing Bradley attempt to mix up his movement as Pacquiao attacks at this range. Instead of just circling to the left, try to time (again, easier said than done) Pacquiao's offense, mainly the double jab-straight left, and put himself in a position on the outside of Pacquiao's left, giving him a much larger target to attack Pacquiao. Marquez did this very successfully, not sure Bradley can do this though. Now, although the above seems like I would like to see Bradley fight Pacquiao at long range...I wouldn't. Bradley has to outwork Pacquiao to win this bout, he will not get the decision on points IMO if he doesn't make it clear that he is outworking/roughing/pushing Pacquiao back. Bradley main gameplan should be to take the fight to Pacquiao at short, mixing it up with long range. The problem Bradley has is, Pacquiao is the best mid-range boxer in the world, this is where he hurts people, this is where he throws shots that his opponents don't see...in turn making it a difficult task for Bradley to get to short range. IMO Bradley has to combine the points I stated in my description of his boxing at long range, combine that with plenty of lateral movement, head movement, parrying, blocking, very tight guard...just to get on the inside, all whilst circling to the left. Bradley should not think he can just put his head down and charge straight on to Pacquiao's chest to do work. He will be knocked out, that's as close to fact as you can get. Never stop moving, plenty of feinting of hand and foot...if he can get inside, throw, throw, and throw some more, Pacquiao is not the best in this area. Jab, uppercut (Marquez) followed by a straight right-left hook is an example of the type of attacks Bradley should be using, followed by plenty of body work. But that doesn't mean he still can't catch Bradley with something using his feet to escape the area and leave Bradley in a vulnerable position. Bradley has to be in great condition to keep this up over 12. I favour Pacquiao by stoppage though.
Why would a fan have that unquestionably awful poster as an avatar of a fighter they like? He may have the intellect of a sub-human animal, but he isn't actually one, or at least I didn't think so until I saw your avatar...
