Calzaghe-Pavlik would be a fight of the decade caliber

If he fought Calzaghe tomorrow, he would lose by 5 rounds or more. Pavlik had a tough time with Taylor's speed tonight AND the angles. Calzaghe would provide more of both.

 

It would be a good fight, but it would lack the two-way clean, powerful punching of Gatti-Ward. Calzaghe would be the one landing frequently and would dominate Pavlik.

 

At this stage, JoeCal's experience prevails.

 

Calzaghe is pushing for 175 now, at this time, he is within another weight class.

 

I'm looking forward to a Calzaghe vs Pavlik fight but lets see how he does against Hopkins first.

pavlik´s power is gonna chok most of is opponents... even winky would have difficultys dealing with it... and remember that jc is no iron chin... pavlik will win until he moves up and face mikkel kessler...

its easy to beat a injured fighter... who has joe fought that could hit besides kessler... nobody.... joe is a champ...no doubt... but he would be in trouble in a rematch against kessler... who did not do any sparring 3 weeks up to the fight and was on the hospitalized due to his hand less than 72 hours after the fight....
