id like to see a change in rankings that you can only enter the top 10/15 by beating opponents already in that bracket.

Also voluntary defences should give a very low purse split for challengers making boxers more eager to become mandatories.

This probably applies more so to the heavyweight division.

1 world title. Fighters would be more determined and we would get better match ups.

Remove the lower weights separated by 4 pounds

one title each weight so a unification tournament at all weights should happen

    1 champ means better contenders

at a weight the 4 best guys all have belts and dont fight

1 belt would force fights to happen

only one federation, which means ONE title (no interim, continental, NABO etc belts), ONE champion for each division

1 agree with the first one. The second one you suggest is already a reality in many cases. For example, Vitali offered Solis a fight more than once and Solis held out until he was a mandatory so he would get the higher purse % that comes with a mandatory purse split, 75/25.

I'd like to see catchweight fights go away. If you're going to fight in a weight division, especially when a title is on the line then the max weight for that division is what a fighter should be allowed to weigh in at.

Also robberies and terrible ref'ing needs to be addressed. Judges that outright rob someone, or even give a questionable scorecard need to be held accountable. Fighters shouldn't have to rematch opponents because the judges couldn't do their job right or ref's were not competant enough to apply rules correctly.

I wouldnt mind each country having their own belt for each division as well. Just so you could clearly point to the best in each country

I would like to see the promoters get together and start a boxing league where boxers on the teams would receive regular salaries with benefits. Put on weekly televised shows from around the world. Each team would have 2 to 3 fighters in each weight class the fighters would train year round. This would allow each team to have a replace in case of injuries. Something like this could create a whole new group of dedicated boxers and reinvigorate the sport. I could make boxing like other sports where there is a real stable situation to go into after you amateur career. I feel if something like this could be created it would take boxing and all of the athletes in boxing into a whole new level. You would have to be truely great to win a championship, it would actually allow the cream of the crop to rise to the top.

One supreme governing body that handles the promotion and ranking of fighters.

Impossible, I know. But it'll eradicate most, if not all, of boxing's current problems.

Pension plans for boxers. I dont think it should be required, but it should be an option.
