Yup! That body shot, and the left uppercut that damaged his eye moments before, were two punches in the whole fight that caught my eye the most. As well as that counter right hook that almost put him down later on. In the lead up to it, my brother kept yellin' for Pac to time a right hook as he's coming in, because he thought it would put him out. And then BOOM!, he does exactly that and wobbles him badly.

As one-sided as that fight was, it had some incredible moments. Including the one where Pac himself had his ribs crushed when he got caught in the ropes.

Moments like that is why I love boxing. You genuinely see Pacquiao hurt and have to grit his teeth, and then he explodes with a combination. ****ing great to watch.

I only noticed because Pacquiao doesn't clinch, and it's not like he could initiate a clinch with Margarito anyway, Marg would just push him off. Margarito had to hold.

Good catch, I do remember that one. That right hook landed and seemed to shove Margarito's upper body sideways.

Margarito's right instantly went lower as he backed away, the punch definitely stung him.

That was a fun fight. Great heart from Margarito and great display of ability from Pac.

I missed that when I saw the fight -- nice catch.

Pac can attack the body pretty well, even though he doesn't do so often. I'm reminded of the Clottey fight -- I think Clottey was gunshy, but I also think the bodyshot combinations Pac landed were draining his stamina and keeping him in his shell. This is what Pac does when you try the high guard:

How do you think people on this board would respond if you could go back and post a thread in 2006 when Pac was fighting at 130 in which you predicted that he would lay a nearly career-ending beating on a 150 lb Antonio Margarito?

I recall that shot during the live broadcast. Tony's movement slowed noticeably after that shot.

Reminds me of the Mosley fight. Shane hurt Margarito with a counter right hand to the body in the first minute of the fight and Tony's legs momentarily dipped almost the same way.

You should dig up some of PacDBest old threads/predictions. Dude was saying some wild **** about Pac beating Hatton, Cotto, and De La Hoya long before they became a reality.
