The other "Team" vs "Team" thread got me thinking about a
    Trinidad vs Benetiz matchup.

Both are from P.R. and were national heroes.

Benetiz did well against Hearns.....who is even bigger than Trindad.

Benetiz beat Duran at a heavier weight than SLR (disallow the 3rd SRL vs Duran old mans fight).

Trinidad carried the power that could hurt Benetiz like Bruce Curry and SRL did.

I see the fight as "pick'em".

at 147, i give it to benetiz. trinidad's attack was just too predictable to catch benetiz who would time his offense, counter and take a clear, wide UD

At 147 and 154 Benitez wins a wide decision. Super fight in Puerto Rico

Tito would be LOST against Benitez.

    El Radar by wide UD.

Trinidad is too big a puncher for Benitez to come in half ass mentally focused like he did with Curry & Weston.

This would be a repeat of Benitez-Cervantes.

Benitez would streak ahead and Tito might do well the last third of the fight, but not near enough to bridge the points gap.

El Radar schools him worse than De La Hoya did.

There aint no way in HELL that Benitez is NOT bringing his A game for Tito. It would be the biggest fight in the history of Puerto Rico.

Naturally, they'd have to place this fight at MSG.

Agree with the consensus...Benitez by decision at either 147 or 154. Trinidad would be resorting to low blows by the 4th round. Still wouldn't work for him...

I really believe this is one of the worst match ups you could ever put in front of Tito

I believe this would be an extremely one sided win for Benitez

Benitez would win this one. Tito would look one dimensional.
