I don't think so. The British appreciate their fighters and would support them regardless of media-related hype. The fact that a specific fighter of their own is rising in rankings they would support instantaneously without the need for the media to tell them how to support and why. The British know how to support their own and are the most loyal fans out there, it's a shame they don't have a special fighter like Mayweather or even Ali as their own currently active. If they did, you would see support like never before and it's beautiful. You don't see British fans turning their back on one of their own for nothing and the media can't do **** to change their minds because fortunately, they're not puppets to be dragged left or right easily by the media. American fans need to take notes at what loyalty really is through British fans
Well, the UK may be #1 for eating Bull ****, but America is a very close #2 - and gaining ground fast!
Americans can't be susceptible to boxing hype. That would require them to actually watch boxing, which they don't. Americans are Very susceptible to political hype though. Brainwashed sheep.
Nonsense yet again. The UK don't "eat" bull****, they support their guy because he's one of them. The media follows because that's how British people always been when it comes to their stars. You need to be to England to understand/see that.
Nicely put. No fans in the world would show anywhere near the amoumt of support we showed for Ricky against floyd.
I have no idea who Cristino is and I'm not a fan of soccer either. I just know that Maradonna was one of a kind.
there's nothing wrong with hype, hype is great. It's when you're being fed bull**** and chewing on it making 'yummm' noises and asking for more like a ******, like the david haye thing I mentioned that it's not right. But general hype is great, we need more of that.
I think Ronaldo's superior reach and power would pose questions for Messi but he is very easy to drop. Messi's work rate and durability would eventually ware him down.
