i hope he's not being serious. in a P4P sense i'd expect joe to slap the **** out of both of them (even if i am a big fan of chaggy). but this is reality, and joe is far too small to deal with guys that big and who are both fairly skilled boxers.
Fine, these world beaters all destroy Joe in round 1 You mother****ers happy?! I think I've still got some way to go to reach PacDBest's league of delusional nuthuggery
He could win fights at heavy like a lot of good champions in the weight classes just below, but it would not be worth the effort cause there is no way he is winning a title.
Would Joe Calzaghe beat The Rancor monster as featured in 'Return of the Jedi'? Personally I think the combination of Joe's speed, heart, chin and boxing skills would lead to a Lacy style beat down.
Let him try if he wants to,id say he would not be able to take some iof the punches, but then again they gotta land them first,he would in the meantime have thrown a few dozen in between, and though they may not knock any one out, they would pick up points, problem is as soon as he stops and does take one,hes probaly out cold,if kessler can hurt him as he did a few times, some of the big ****ers would deck him
This is a joke. Do you idiots not realize the only constant in littles moving up to heavyweight is John freaking Ruiz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Calzaghe would get hurt. Period.
You have to admit that prime Calzaghe would probably be too much for Lennox Lewis. Which American heavyweight did Calzaghe beat as an amateur?
You can make a case for Calzaghe being a top 10 all time Heavyweight in all seriousness. Lennox, Wlad, Foreman, Holmes etc all beat him easily (that is obvious) but Calzaghe vs Ali is 50/50 at worst.
Calzaghe's walk around weight is 200+. He says it himself in a lot of interviews. He starts training at the Cruiserweight limit and boils down to 168. He is naturally wide and heavy guy. No question that he can fight at Heavy, he only needs to put on 10-15lbs.
Just because he does well against Macca in sparring (where they train for speed, not power) doesn't mean it's a good idea for him to go up to HW. He would be beaten badly by the best and by some with a hard punch. So what would be the point?
I heard 193. Calzaghe is not made to fight at HW, imo. Even CW is pushing it, I think. Calzaghe is best around 175-180, but not more, I would say.
Calzaghe stated recently (when he became sports personality of the year) that his usual weight is around 185. I have no idea where anyone gets 200+ from.
