I've noticed by going back that every 2 or so weeks another thread comes up about weightloss or how to make weight etc. We have a nutrition thread which i think was excellent but seems to have died out a bit. So i have an idea instead of people making a new thread every fortnight how about we keep all weightloss questions and discussions in 1 thread? What do you guys think? Will this be helpfull or another failure of a thread?
Another failure of a thread, too many !!!!!!!!!!!!! is the title gives the impression you were being chased a bull while you were writing this, something more organised would've been better but we already have a nutritional thread so its all good. This is the training section, people come here to talk about specific things such as weightloss.
If we were to do what you're proposing there would be about 5 threads on this forum and that's it. What's the point?
I agree with the!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes it seem to desperate/ somewhat childish He is kinda right the nutritional thread is quite old and it would make sence if there was a thread where all the weightloss/diet questions are asked. It would be easier to find if your after that I actually think its a good idea. I mean if we have a supplement review thread why not? But then again virus is right we wouldnt have a lot of threads.
My point was it would stop threads being created which just ask 1 question that was already answered. I just thought it would be more practical but i respect your opinion. Really? I didn't know that? you just blew my mind. You don't think anything else could be added such as certain diet plans that work for you (not you per say) such as carb cycling and such.
Thanks good to see atleast one person thinks this is a good idea. The nutritional thread is not really usefull because it hasn't been relevant for a year or so. Maybe there are too many exclamation points So the thread is not a good idea because of the thread title? Exactly if people are looking for a specific goal like weightloss why not have a thread dedicated to it instead of a lot of one question threads which disappear after a while and get asked again?
no i dont think you could add anything else! weightloss is down to less calories taken in and or calories burnt ... creating a deficit , it is simple maths, that is what causes weight loss!
Stuff you could add in my opinion is................ 1, a too large calorie deficit will cause you to store fat after a while 2, long slow paced cardio burns more cals while doing it where as short sprint like cardio burns more when your at rest 3, dropping high fibre foods a week before a weigh in can make you lose some weight 4, Protien and carbs have the same cals g for g so in theory a high protien low carb diet and a high arb low protien diet doesnt really effect you 5, Person experiences And so on
I'd rather post 1 question like i just did lol and get that answered then have a whole thread about fatloss.
urm what?:huh. 1 - How the **** did you work that out? Storing fat happens when there is a surplus of energy, a calorie deficit is when there is less energy being consumed than what is burned. Although having too large of a calorie deficit is a bad thing for a number of reasons. 2 - Do you know the roles of protein and carbohydrate?:-(.
1, WEIGHT GAIN is a result of surplus cals you can gain fat and lose weight if you do not eat enough. Your body burns muscles and stores fat............. your losing weight and gaining fat, are you not? 2, Yes i do and 200g of protien and 200g of carbs will do the same for WEIGHTLOSS, which is what the thread is about. Perfomance and other stuff they are different but in weight loss they are the same because of the cals they provide being the same.
Just been on extremely high protein diet looking to cut for fight on coming Friday nite, lost a hell of a lot more weight once carbs were reduced. Dont feel as good but had to do it
