    Anyway back on track Evans is no chump. UFC isn't boxing there has been some real hum-dingers in the past; I learnt along time ago never to discount an opponent no matter the odds.

    Consider when Silva got subbed by that Jap....

    Evans is fast and has good take down skills. I think people are massively underestimating him!!!

    Do not - I REPEAT DO NOT - confuse this with me saying he will win but you guys really need to look at MMA (and boxing fans boxing too) from an objective viewpoint. One thing I've seen on ESB for years now is people supporting fighters as if they're supporting their national football team; ie who they want to win.

    If Jones can keep distance he wins. Evans is elusive so I won't say he gets KO'd. Jones will probably out wrestle Evans and win but......

    Evans taking Jones down and scoring a UD through accumulative (but ineffective) take downs is a very real possibility because UFC scoring is heavily biased to take downs and Evans is short and stocky; he can get Jones down and turn a fight into a marathon he doesn't have to stay there and look for the sub.

    I'd favour Jones maybe 60/40 possibly 70/30.

    A lot of people here cant stand Jones and would LOVE to see Shuggs Rashaiid get that W.... but it just aint gonna happen. A guy who can pulverize Shogun and Machida will have NO trouble whatsoever with whatever a far inferior fighter like Evans can throw at him

    Shogun would destroy Evans, Machida already has and would do so again with ease. As would Henderson.

    jones the hype job couldn't even beat a passed prime evans

    silva would whoop him, and plus, jones got lucky there wasn't 5-10 more seconds left in the clock after he was taken down (something in which has never happened before)

    but of course popkins isn't leaving

    his "leave this forum" is referring to leave this "mma" forum, not eastsideboxing
