a very, very close fight that could have gone either way. pacquiao-marquez 3 was an outright robbery and a disgrace to boxing.
Castillo won, It was a ****ing robbery! Void knew he lost... you could tell in the post fight interview! Larry had Void sounding like a lil *****!!
Castillo won that fight, he imposed his will by swarming Mayweather against the ropes throughout most of the fight. Floyd fought Castillo's fight that night and his punch output did not seem like his usual average. Castillo won that fight but you have to also give credit to Mayweather when it looked like he was the one more interested in a rematch than Castillo himself judging by Floyd's statements made during the post-fight interview.
Floyd won. Castillo didn't do anything until round 6 when floyd's shoulder just crapped out on him. 3 swing rounds kd/deductions cancelled each other. If Floyd didn't win it it was at least a draw. I don't agree with the scorecare but I had Floyd up by 2 pts.
I just had a look at it again, and there's no way the punch lands. It's at 5:12: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ov6xoYMfbI=5m12s"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ov6xoYMfbI[/ame] Even when I pause it and go through frame by frame I don't see anything hitting Castillo's head. In the normal footage (not the slow mo) it also looks like Mayweather might have stepped on Castillo's right foot. That's at 1:35. I agree that the camera angles are annoying, but that wasn't a knockdown.
Definitely an off-night for Mayweather, he just couldn't impose his fight and he looked awfully uncomfortable inside that square ring. Castillo was just bullying him around with his swarming style. Castillo won that fight but the rematch was indeed rightfully won by Mayweather.
Ugh, too many people scoring on aggression and not clean effective shots. Thank God there are no licensed judges on this site.
Castillo won this fight. And I agree with the other poster that said he would of won by 3 points if not for the point deduction.
