How many boxers make a reasonable profit off their trade? 100 out of many thousands?

As boxing fans we can't say MMA fighters don't get paid shiiiiit, because there are fighters giving up large portions of their lives in boxing and never get paid **** too.

Real men provide for their families. **** that tough man ****.

****ing good! It's a good price. Stop paying athletes ridiculous sums of money for one night. ****ing footballers and boxers are some of the highest paid athletes in the big leagues and then they all turn out to be ****s, drive cars into a couple of kids, demand more money, get locked up and god knows what else and people complain about the lower paid UFC fighters who strangely, you don't hear anything bad about. The worst you hear about a current UFC fighter is they test positive, not the unbelievable bull**** that comes out of boxing camps like Kelly Pavlik's story or Floyd Mayweather's arrest or a ****ing John Terry football case. Nobody in the UFC is doing ******ed **** because they're getting paid too much.

I mean honestly, it doesn't even matter, work on your own amount. Why are people so interested about what MMA fighters get and Boxing fighters get? Who's the ones complaining? Boxing fans. What's the sport that's thriving? MMA. Haven't really heard many UFC fighters come out and say their wage is ****. Then you've got Mayweather fighting for so much money its ridiculous. Stop declaring war on different sports because you don't like something about it and then try to act like your sport is the best in the world. It's moronic.

Don't know what you're getting at with Mayhem. The brawl? Not really a related issue.

And Josh Neer was a former UFC fighter at that time. You can easily pick guys on the skids who aren't in the UFC anymore, Hermes Franca for example. I'm talking about what they're doing with the money they're earning whilst they're in the company and how they're reacting. None of this is relevant. My point was just they're not overpaid and for the most part don't have massive egos or high demands like a boxer or a footballer would. That's way too much money to pay an athlete.

edit: Okay none of these articles bar maybe the Overeem and Rampage ones are related to anything I'm talking about. I didn't say MMA fighters are angels compared to other athletes, what I said is they're not making too much money and doing out of line ****. Rampage is probably one of the only guys being an utter douchebag and also has made some pretty unwise decisions in his life. I don't think that Overeem thing has anything to do with his pay, even though he probably gets near enough to the most.

 

Jones is like Klitschko. He beats much smaller guys than him. To be honest the fight was crap. Exactly like a Klitschko fight, Jones using his abnormal reach (for a human being) to keep the smaller Rashad at bay. Jones is a HW and Rashad has the body of a MW.

The fact of the matter is, there are hundreds of NBA and NFL players that on average get paid more than anyone in fighting sports. The vast majority stay out of trouble and do the right thing. It has zero to do with what they're getting paid and more to do with their individual backgrounds, education and self-respect.
