I'm very surprised that Jones is getting so much credit on this thread. The Jones I've been seeing lately has almost nothing left. Trinidad was made to order for Jones and even then he didn't look as good as he should have. Jones has no legs left whatsoever. He can not stand up to Taylor at this point in his career. Taylor will walk over Jones and stop him. Jones can't deal with Taylors speed and power in his current shape. Roy Jones looks shot to me and Taylor would bust him up.
Easy, easy win for Taylor! I'm shocked and outraged (from Tunbridge Wells) that so many people are picking Jones. Truly delusional.
For Taylor to win He'll need to keep up a high work rate through 12 rounds...We'll see if he can do it with 10 extra pounds... RJJ UD
Jones by UD. JT hasn't knocked anyone out in a while. so i think this would go the distance and RJJ superior boxing skills will shine.
RJJ has the upper hand in size, power, and hand speed but when is the last time he actually used them all? Not against Tito. He could've easily taken Tito out within 4 rounds but he chose to showcase his horrible work rate. He does not have the stamina to stay busy enough. He knows he has to pace himself. If RJJ applied himself and put on the gas, i could see him winning and maybe even hurting Taylor. But we all know that he's going to go into a shell once Taylor starts coming forward. He went into a shell when tiny Tito came forward. Taylor UD. Maybe by even KO.
Jones played with Tito...and gave everyone an entertaining boxing match. Did any of you notice that after Tito was knocked down for the first time and got back up that Roy did not throw a single punch for 45 seconds....he could have finished him off at will in my opinion...but dragged it out so that Tito was still marketable for Don King. Roy punished Tito at will the entire second half of the fight....nobody has ever made Tito look that useless in the ring. To me that tells alot about what Roy still has left in his tank. Taylor has stamina issues and he is only 30.....Roy tends to make other guys look slow when normally they wouldn't....kind of like what FM does to his opponents. I would pick RJJ by UD in a bout where he showcases his blazing punch speed catching Taylor with numerous counters...I see Taylor going down at least twice in the fight but going the distance nonetheless. Again, RJJ by UD.
:| Man that **** isnt even funny. Prime Roy would destroy Jermaine Taylor in every way. Now as i said..........:barf
How does a 5'11 dude with a 74 inch reach who started his career at 153-157lbs have the upper hand in size over a dude that is 6'1 with a reach of 78 inches who started his career at 158-164? Jones may have moved up in weight, but they are naturally the same weight, with Taylor being taller and having a longer reach.
