Very ugly style aside from a highlight reel bodyshot.

I'm not a fan of mauling/wrestling techniques. Give me BOXING any day.

p.s. If anything Hatton is overrated because of his fanbase. Remind me what he accomplished again? A washed up Tsyzu he still had his hands full with? Oh...

Also he blocks punches with his face as a means for defense.

Hatton fans unwavering hope and dedication is inspiring.

Didn't stop ricky from gaining 40 lbs and doing coke between fights though.

Ricky hatton inspired a whole generation of British boxers. His win over tszyu was just epic, as was the mayweather fight. The whole build up alone was brilliant, really put boxing back on the map in a big way here in Britain

Shame people can't just appreciate what he did for the sport in Britain and was evidently a good, strong fighter. Don't disrespect a man that put aside the majority of his life for a sport (to which he reached the peak) and then struggled to deal with it's absence.

exactly.....if they ever stepped in a ring they would...i bet only like 10% of people here have either had formal training sparred or had a match....When I started training years ago I appreciated even the trailhorses cause it takes balls to go mano y mano....you dont play boxing

:smoke...Im an american, but he did have alot to do with the resurgence of British boxing after Lewis, Eubank and those very good middleweights left the game....if they cant appreciate his skills at least his heart, determination and what he meant to an entire country, i do and im not from there:deal

Have to disagree...if it was easy he'd have got the decision...ive scored it several times and he wins by a point but more so than not and giving him the close rounds he wins by a point, keeps his belt and gets a draw....but more often than not Hatton wins by 2 points...it was a close match not a robbery....robbery, shot, and bum on this forum is far over used
