    RJJ by UD. Benard Hopkins has a really low work rate as seen in the his last couple of fights....that alone would give RJJ the advantage as he is quite at home pot shotting and winning defensive fights with measured bursts from his blazing combos. If you have seen the first fight, you know that the style matchup favored RJJ back then.....and will this time around...because not much has changed in that aspect.

    Hopkins threw more vs Wright than Jones did vs Trinidad. If anything Jones doesnt throw enough anymore to trouble Bernard.

    Homework guys...Homework.

    Ok, let me first brace you for how badly this above post is going to get BLASTED! You ready? Okay...

    First you say this...

    Then this...

    Lets break it down a little further.

    Wright's best weight = 154
    Tito's best weight = 147

    Hopkins best weight = 160
    Jones best weight = 175

    So Hopkins was fighting someone essentially 6 pounds lighter than him...while Jones was fighting someone essentially 28 pounds lighter than him.

    So who was the guy fighting the smaller fighter?

    Ok, now lets break down a little further how wrong you are...ya ready?

    I want you to answer me two questions before you type anything else on this site.

    1- WHO in the past ten years has not looked sloppy and simple against Winky Wright?

    AND

    2- WHY should Hopkins been able to control someone for whom their is NO correct answer to my first question?

    Fact is, Hopkins landed at a higher % than ANYONE has vs Winky in the past 10 years at least. He even wobbled him with a right late in the fight...another thing noone has done in years. The simple fact that he won the fight CLEARLY (again, noones done that since Vazquez pretty much a decade ago) speaks just to how impressive that win was.

    Now onto a little more you had wrong...

    You have obviously never seen the first fight and are going off things you heard (that or the score on boxrec). NOONE was owned in that fight. The rounds that Jones won, he CLEARLY won. The rounds that Hopkins won, he CLEARLY won. They spent most of the fight pawing jabs at the air for the fact that both admitted that each were "the best fighter" either of them had ever fought. It wasnt the one sided beatdown you would want people to believe. Maybe you should actually watch a fight before commenting on it.

    How can you be so off in such a short post??? Put your bias aside for a second and look at something clearly for a second. You may just enjoy the sport a bit more.

    First of all, did you just call me a "bra"? WTF? What has women's underwear got to do with this?

    Hopkins might very well "tap that ass", but that's probably all he can do against Joe Calzaghe. Tap him on the ass and say "I'm sorry I underestimated you, Joe!" :lol:

    Don't even mention Hatton in the same breath as Calzaghe. As for Joe's defense, it's as good as anyone's. No KO's at all, and only 2 pathetic knock downs in 17 years? Sure he has no defense. A man with no defense can easily walk through Kessler bombs, right? Because Mikkel can't punch, right? How about your man Jeff Lacy, who, before the Calazaghe fight, was supposedly "one of the hardest punchers in any division"? Did his punches hurt Joe. Did they ****.

    Last time I looked, Hopkins had four losses on his record, two of those to Jermain Taylor. Now tell me again who has the better defense.

    While I'm here, take a quick lesson in English.

    Dat = That
    U = You
    Bumb = Bum
    Dis = This
    Rediculous = Ridiculous

    When you start a paragraph, start the first word with an uppercase letter. Also, when mentioning a name or a place, use an uppercase letter.

    When you use a period or a comma, you are supposed to put a space after it (before starting your next line).

    When asking a question, please end it with a question mark. It looks like this: ?

    I mention this because it's difficult to argue rationally with an untelligent person. Learn to spell and use correct grammar and people might have more respect for what you're posting.

    Thank you and goodnight, you've been a wonderful audience!

    With his head, yeah.

    If Slopkins is so great he wouldn't have to cheat constantly. End of story.

    I for one think Hopkins can pull this out... hes so much better as a fighter, its just physically, hes always been levels and levels below, because indeed... roy was superhuman a bit, but now that they are a tad more equal physically due to roys mental decline... i give the edge to Hopkins.

    And there's no need to assume I got bent out of shape. I think I kept my composure rather well, actually, considering the ignorance we have to deal with on this board on a daily basis.
