I agree. A very well rounded artist. As your next post shows as well, and all of the OTR radio shows. You know I have problems admitting this.....but you are the man Rummy. :deal

But on the Seth Mitchell vs Chauncy Welliver fight. Cmon man, Chauncy has been online saying they were lining up next all over the place. Seth talked in the ring about having something lined up. He was talking about Chauncy.

And now......it is even a more important match up for Seth. They don't want him to do chicken dances next time out and they think Chauncy doesn't punch hard enough to take him down and out. They also want to see Mitchell go rounds or do something amazing in the ring. Welliver getting dropped or stopped would be amazing but that won't happen and Seth will be forced to go into the deep water rounds.

And then Seth Mitchell gets drowned. Chauncy rips his floaties off, cramps him up, and Mitchell goes under water for good. If he tries to pop up a time or two after going under the first time, it will only make the spectacle more intriguing to watch. People think Welliver is a whale but he is a shark these days. Once he smells Seth's blood in the water he will finish the job. He won't mentally break down like Spoon did.

Virgil Hunter's words of wisdom will not be repeated by Joe Hipp either. Chauncy will fight smart and pick this guy apart 5 or 6 times if need be to finish him off. That is the great thing about Welliver. He never looks for the KO and makes mistakes by doing it. But when the opportunity does come, he delivers. And he doesn't force things either. When he gets up big on points, he is content to coast it home from there. He knows a UD win over Seth is just as valuable as a KO win.

I'm excited for this fight. Golden Boy will be the big whigs doing the promotion but I will be making the most noise of anyone for this fight. Keep an eye out in this thread next week. Spartan Nation will be turning on Mitchell and supporting Chauncy for this fight. And I will lead that as the #1 Michigan State fan in the world. 20 tackles against Ohio State aint **** in boxing. A 12 round WBO eliminator against Welliver is still way too tough of a task for Mitchell to accomplish. :bbb

A decade of being the best sparring partner in the world is no fluke. Going toe to toe with Povetkin for his Championship capturing camp was very telling footage. Chauncy is at least on pay with Alexander. The list of guys is amazing. Povetkin, Huck, Valuev, Briggs, Bidenko, Helenius, Tua, Cameron, Dokiwari, Wladimir, Tyson, Hipp, McCall, Dimitrenko, Whitaker, and tons of other good to great HW's and CW's.

Chauncy's durability is proven beyond any doubt and is the major reason he is the most ducked HW of the last couple years. All of the top camps know that they cannot drop or stop this man. And now that he is in great shape and has the best cardio of anyone at HW...they really want to avoid him. Before slimming down he was a guy who would make everyone look bad even if they beat him by UD. Now that he is in top shape he will still make the top guys look like **** but he will also win the fights for himself.

2 or 3 more fights and Klitschko is going to have to stop ducking Chauncy. He may have 1 more tune up before Septemeber. Maybe a fringe contender like Zumbano Love.....then Mitchell gets his arse kicked on HBO. After that, Solis 2 would be the perfect match to agains establish that he is no fluke. Seth is raw and rather unskilled. Beating him is expected by any HW fans with half a brain. But rematching and beating the hell out of the Olympic Gold Medalist is a much better measuring stick. Solis is a serious talent and a top 5 HW in the world. But Chauncy has outworked him since their match. Odlanier is still a big fat pig and Chauncy is slim and trim now. When they meet again I will start the chant.....Hard Work.....Pays Off.....Hard Work....Pays Offf...Hard Work....Pays Off! :thumbsup

There is a difference between being "overrated" and "promising". Seth is promising. I'm not understanding the hate for dude. He's a humble dude who knows he's got a lot of work to do. This was a great learning experience for him. Let that boy cook.

I'd rather see Chauncey fight Ibragimov after Zumbano and Mitchell fight Banks or Johnson.

I just don't want to see two of my fav fighters squaring off against one another and setting the other back.

Mitchell took some serious bombs early on last night, and Kenmore pointed out that the few sharp R hands that Tiggy landed seemed to stun him. Surely Witherspoons camp noticed that too, and used that strategy too fight fire with fire. And it nearly worked, except Witherspoons power was so much less than Mitchells.
Seth needs to seriously tighten that defense and stiffen that jab. Use it more and wait behind ti for the opening. Rushing in with his head down was his detriment last night, and a harder puncher like Arreola or an iron chinned guy like McCall, Guinn and Welliver may be able to absorb those shots and counter an exposed chin just enough to stun him and possibly derail the train.

Seth is promising....even Chauncy admits so. But, HBO and Golden Boy are on his nuts like he is Klitschko beater material and they are completely off base. Chauncy is much more promising. Chauncy can take punches from the Klits all night long. Seth can't last more than a round or 2 against Wlad. Chauncy has much better skills and much better endurance. All Seth has better is more power. Other than that Chauncy is superior in every way.

    Late Bloomer vs Born Boxer

    Muscle Power vs Brain Power

    Chiseled Body vs Soft Body

    Huge Power vs Average Power

Chicken Leg Chin vs Indestructable Chin

No proven round capability vs completely proven championship round capability

Notice how I kept all of Chauncy's attributes on the RIGHT side of the match up? That is because I am 100% right that Chauncy will destroy Seth Mitchell and show the world he is still an amateur. Chauncy will show Oscar DLH who the best American HW is. :deal

Iceman.....very original and so much more insightful than the last time you posted it.

As for the Americans only caring about American HW's? That might be true for average fight fans. But true HW fight fans are fans of and interested in HW's all over the world.

Take me for example. If Seth chicken dances his way out of this fight, I'm interested in seeing Chauncy light Fury on fire! I'm interested in seeing David Haye being set on Haye Field Fire too. I'd have interest in seeing what's left of Robert Helenius hair set on fire by Welliver as well. If David Tua ever grew some hair on his balls I'd like to see Chauncy singe it off real quick too. Chopping up both of the Ukranian HW Champions and having a great big bomb fire with their old and decayed body parts would also be very interesting. Chauncy is friends with Povetkin but I'd like to see Chauncy burn a bigger swatch of his forrest down than the 1908 Tunguska blast leveled in Siberia. That Boytsov character with the brittle hands and chin is another little brush fire I'd like to see set. Same with the Klitschko Lite Ukranian Alexander Dimitrenko, burn his scrub brush down. Odlanier Solis #2 with real notice instead of 10 days in Pearl Harbor fashion is another big fire I'd like to see set. Picture it, 2012, Cuba, and their HW Title Hopes, being Mushroom Clouded by Welliver's Little Boy Bombs and Fat Man revenge plans. They will capitulate!
