I'm a bit skeptical when I see "Calzaghe" in a thread title, because it is usually the same old recycled bull****

Let's just keep it simple and say Joe Calzaghe is insanely good

I think it was meant that Calzaghe's curse is on his opponents.

well if you judge a thread because you're sceptical about what it says maybe that should tell you something?

even if you don't agree with it maybe you should put your thinking cap on and put your views forward?

if you really can't do that but believe in the man (as i do - to a point) then you're pleading ignorance, aren't you?

Calzaghe used to have hand problems, that was a curse, no dout about it. He is very underrated still.

It doesn't tell me anything, other than it being extremely unoriginal

It's very well put though, I'll give you that. A Joe Calzaghe thread is always a sure bet to reach epic status, so you've made a good start

    Welcome to ESB

For years and years and years they said that Calzaghe was no good, but now he is coming into his own and is finally being seen.

I guess you took what I said about joe not being remembered as a great fighter a little out of context. I'll have to re review what I wrote but I was trying to push the fact that joe would probably be remembered for his title reign length and title defenses more than the fact he was a great fighter. The arguement would be something like this 20 yrs from now:

d: FRKO how long did joe hold the title?
    F: 10 yrs strong
    D: Who did he fight?
    F: Some guys.. I don't know
D: What? No Prime RJJ or BHOP?
F: Joe C did fight Bhop when bhop was 50 or so... Can't remember the exact age...
D: Humm... How many title defenses did he have?
    F: 30 or more..
D: Who did he defend against?
F: I don't know... Some bloks (i think thats what they are called over there)
d: THat Joe C was champ a long time and had a lot of defenses... But I can't believe that he never fought the best during their prime....
    F: Cheerio ole chap...

    :rofl:rofl I'm a funny dude.
